I bought the game back in 2018, and honestly even though it's been quite a lot of years I never felt this project was being abandoned or ignored. Yes sure ideally I would have liked to see the game developed faster. I haven't played it in a while now, but it never escaped my mind, the reason I didn't play was because I felt I wanted to wait on the development to be further along, I wanted to see how the complete experience would be like. I liked what I bought back then and played it several times over the updates but at some point I felt I would get tired of the game if I would keep playing it over and over when the product is not finished yet. So I was saving my playtime for release, glad to hear it's around the corner. I'm really exited it and for you guys to be finally be able to release your "baby" into the world officially. There are a lot of discussions to be had about the intended gameplay and interactions you mentioned in the video. My vision for the game has always been that I would like the Nuggets to develop on their own and me as a player being an influence on them. Even back then I thought as a player we might have too much influence placing buildings rather than influencing the Nuggets in a way to motivate them building a well or core buildings in certain positions of the world. For me the unique thing is the god and spectate/observe aspect of the game rather than making it a city builder/colony builder. (too late to change that feedback now I guess ;)) I hope the game will have future updates and expansions!

Thank you guys for making this I don't know if you were inspired by Spore from EA or not but this is one of the best God Sim games and I look forward to Version 1 keep up the hard work!

I really enjoy Universim, but the one thing I hate is running out of resources on a planet, it makes no sense that Rocks runs out, water or metal, gas I understand. There should also be an update to have electric cars instead of just fuel. Contamination of water is to fast as well. The game is heading on the right path but I feel like some things need a little more balanced or removed. Fun gameplay should be the priority over everything else.

Water makes sense since it's getting drained away constantly by the water pumps. However, everything else you said makes sense.

@@retrobossarcade3524 Water consumption basically always balances out via evaporation and condensation, sure you can have droughts in some areas but its less likely than you think.

@@grantkerr6274 Oh I think I know what you mean now. There isn’t enough rain going around the planet. I thought it was the fact you could have a drought that was a problem. I agree with that.

At 43:19 Too many details regarding inhabitants in a game world don't work well, you say it. I think that is the main issue were the Cities Skylines 2 development run into. Average PC systems can't handle such details overflow yet. Perhaps the next generation PC's can do that work in six years, by example in 2030, but not yet in 2023. It shows i.m.o. that it was not a wise decision on the part of publisher Paradox Gaming to come premature with the so-called full release of Cities Skylines 2 with the associated overpriced triple A price tag. You didn't made such mistake, well done developers en publisher of The Universim.
