You don't have to like GD or his music, but you can't deny this man is a hustler. He worked his a** off to be where he is today. GD is one of the most impactful influences in Korean music, not just KPOP, and that's a fact.

I am Korean. GD was the most genius in Kpop history, the most colorful, and influenced Koreans the most. There is no one in Korea who can replace him. GD's influence on K-pop was enormous. After Big Bang, there was a junior idol rapper position, and an idol group that made their own songs. The k-pop idol light stick was first made by G-Dragon, and all men's fashion followed GD, and it was said that Korean fashion stopped after GD joined the army. He was always lonely and was cursed at at a young age. But Korea still needs his talent. I hope he can control his wounds and release the album again.

I knew GD was a hard worker, but this video opened my eyes to JUST how much he’s gone through. He’s truly one of the most creative, passionate, hard working artists of this century. At the age of 25, I had the opportunity to know Bigbang and GDragon, and their concert was my first ever. Looking back, I can hardly believe how fanatical I was about them. At that time, Bigbang and GD gave me a great deal of strength. As I grew older, I lost interest in being a fan. Today, I stumbled upon a video and it made me feel sad. Many people say he is fortunate, but maybe he is not. He stands on stage to receive the adoration of fans, but he is also swallowed up by immense loneliness. I hope that in the future, he can live the life he desires, do the things he wants to do, and find a soulmate who understands him.

Honestly, I really think that people don’t understand how hard the KPOP industry really is. I never heard of him before but it’s really sad to see how he got so much hate. I am REALLY not a person who cries like really never but those last minutes brought tears to my eyes. You said it all, we want him back but more importantly we want him happy. Bigbang and GD are my youth, and my present there wasn't even one day I never supported GD. I went to his last kwon Ji Young concert, and cried when he was giving his speech hearing how hurt and lonely he is. But one made me more cry, at the end when he left us all, he said to us "you are not alone." He has such a pure heart and I wish he knows that he is not alone too.

Ji-Yong has a talent that comes naturally. His Star shines bright. He knew his path and went all out due to hard work and dedication. Unfortunately you never know if someone will love you for you, or for who you are and fame. I worry that he will mentally break. I hope he works hard on himself as a person, his health. All of these fame and success were rooted from a kid who only dreamed to perform on stage. I was a total die hard fan of Big Bang in my 20s. Life and adulthood got in the way so I’m no longer as fanatical… but this video just took me back to that time. GD is an amazing person and I hope he’s doing okay. One of the clips I remember seeing is him talking about how grateful he was for Taeyang as a friend, breaking down in tears as he tried to get the words out. I also loved the moments where he would burst out laughing because when he laughed his face would light up. Paired with all the songs he’s written, it struck me that this was an individual with a lot of emotions swirling inside of him, and he’s just trying to get through life like any of us. I really hope for his happiness and I hope he lives a long fulfilling life.

GDragon is an amazingly talented artist, but, his talent was earned through hard work and dedication as well as natural talent. GDragon should be deemed a Korean National Treasure. The very first time I heard about GDRAGON’s name was during year 2013, I knew TOP’s first before Ji. I don’t know anything about him only the fact that he’s really famous. His name has a great and powerful impact, I respect him from the beginning eventhough I don’t know anything much about him. I just give him my Highest Respect. Then during 2015-2016 when I became a Fan of my other stan group ( EXO ), I listened to BIGBANG songs. I started checking the FIVE members only that time I found out that GDRAGON was a member and leader of BIGBANG. I have a huge interest about Jiyong not because of his Fame but because of the songs that he wrote. I really admires his gift of songwriting, that’s when I found out many things about him. That his life, even though he’s really famous, always in the spotlight, many people knows him and BIGBANG. Despite all of this, behind the camera, behind the light, He is lonely. I felt really sad especially when other people says lots of negative things against him. Like yeah, you just know GDRAGON’s name but you don’t really know anything about him, about his life, about his pasts. He attained the level of success because he is hardworking, he has a dream to pursue and he never stop working, he never stop dreaming all his life. The success that he has right now, all of this achievements, that’s from his Sweat and Tears. He deserves that kind of success. And the fact that he helped other young Artists, he inspired them to follow their dreams and become successful too. as a teenager i grew up, just when Kpop was getting more popular in the west. i loved bigbang and GD was and still is my favorite kpop idol. His music ,style & art has always intrigued me. I remember that in alot of his songs u could feel an underlying sadness and meaning, although i did not speak any Korean, i could still feel it in the music. I am almost 30 now and its good to see he has not stopped creating. He has worked so hard for everything that he deserves to be happy, all this harsh criticism, is completely uncalled for, and its sad to see. Hopefully he can find happiness, true happiness and perhaps be a bit more selfish and live life for himself.

It makes you wonder how GD survived the criticism and depression when other idols, such as Jonghyun and Sulli could not. What kind of inner strength does he have and where did it come from?

G-Dragon was the reason I discovered kpop. His song One of a Kind was the first ever kpop song I ever heard. I became a fan instantly. Then I discovered he was in a group BigBang. I became their fan instantly lol. I remember alot of the hate GD would constantly get. It was unreasonable, so unfair, and I felt so bad for him. I was getting a little teary eyed because I remembered some of the interviews and appearances he did where he looked so defeated. It was heartbreaking. I sincerely hope he is doing better these days though. I hope he is putting himself first above all else now.

2013 is when i first discovered about big bang and GD, i was instantly obsessed because it was my first time seeing people being so cool in these music videos, haaving cool hair, cool cloths, cool dance moves and so much talent. Big bang opened me to the whole world of kpop and that kpop obsessed phase of my life defifnitely helped me improve my creative imagination and the way i perceive any type of art.

This is the FACTS!!! I'm so proud to be part of VIP since 2009, Bigbang changed the prejudice on idols of just being a visuals. He saved me when I'm almost done with life, their music saved me. F*** those people who discredit Bigbang and GD for their hardwork. Kings 🤴

Honestly in the past i tried to find out more about gd aside from the interviews and reality shows- since i always felt like he was playing a role on the screen and not really being himself, but i couldn't find anything because i dont know Korean. Something about his aura or smth really made me adore him, to me he seemed like a perfect person w almost no hardships in life. So this video really helped me understand him better and see clearer. Now i appreciate him even more that i did before (and thats pretty hard lol). Anyways i hope he is better now mentally and has learned to rest without feeling guilty and enjoy his art without the need of approval from others. Every now and then i remember Jonghyun (Shinee) and wonder how many others feel the same as he did, but are good at hiding it? I truly hope that (if those people exist) they will find balance in life and things that make them feel content if not happy. As a conclusion- thank you for this video, it was informative and impactful and brought some light to an important subject. You are appreciated!

I am blown away. I feel really saddened that some humans are so cruel. He is an icon of Korea, what foolishness is this, when in essence these artist are generating interest for the country and placing Korea on the global map. At times like this it makes one feel sad 😭. My full respect goes out to GD and from here on, I am going to support everything he does. I pray that there will be many to join in this quest. Stay Strong GD you earned the stage Salute

I'm not really a kpop fan, I kinda liked BTS back then but when I first heard BigBang I was really shocked and I really liked GD I dunno but his voice and music was incredibly amazing. Untitled is my fav till this moment, he is a part of my life that'd always be remembered. I hope him the best of the world, he is a human who deserves a life of his dreams
