@@au6678 listen i love korea but no country's perfect. Alcohol consumption is most definitely encouraged by society as a means to bond between friends and family but from my experience also seen as necessary to get ahead in business. S. Korea has the highest rate of hard liquor consumption in the world. And of course they are monumentally different in many ways but it comes down to weed being proven the less dangerous and unhealthy one between both drugs. So that is the hipocrisy i am commenting about. However manyyy other countries do this exact same thing

As for comparing the TWO (because you feel the need to question other people’s intelligence while also misspelling shit), weed is less harsh on your body compared to alcohol. Deaths from weed are mainly due to it being laced, which is why having it legalized would make it even safer

Just a point: There were balloons before and light sticks even before Bigbang. But with BIGBANGs idea to customize their own lightstick, it actually became a trend, since then almost every groups have their own customized lightsticks.

I don’t know who still watches this video but let me explain why they are the kings of kpop Kpop before bigbang: - not all groups had rappers - if they had rappers, they would have the same tone of voice - singers’ voices were of the same tone, so you couldn’t distinguish them After bigbang: - all groups have at least 2 rappers, one with a soft voice (GD) and one without a soft voice (top) - people now look for different colours in the voices of their idols THIS and much more are THE BIGBANG FORMULA (sorry if my English was bad I live in Europe) *they were also the first to enter the billboard top 200* Edit: the firsts to make lightsticks and the firsts to REALLY be involved in the production of the music

The reason I'm into kpop is TOP's blue hair in Fantastic Baby It sounds really stupid but i found out what Kpop was in a KZfaqrs React video in 2013 and BigBang were the first group I saw with their Fantastic Baby video and I saw TOP's blue hair and heard his rapping and fell in love Then started researching and following and listening to all their music and discovering my second group, SHINee 7 year later I'm still just as in love with kpop and BigBang and TOP is still my ultimate bias as he'll always have a special place in my heart for starting my journey into this new world of music and the kpop community So for that I say thank you :)

Let me put out some facts and achievements: 1) They were the first group that wrote their own music. Then some industries saw that and let their idols write lyrics. 2) Very first kpop album to reach top 10 in US tunes charts 3) Their "MADE" world tour was the most attended by a korean act 4) Largest kpop arena tour in US history 5) first kpop group to surpass 300 million views on KZfaq on a MV 6) Most viewed on-line kpop concert in history 7) big bang are the first versatile and hip hop kpop group 8) while still be in the group all of the members have successful solo careers 9) the different and unique music you hear in today's kpop was actually started by BIG BANG 10) They were the first kpop group to create a light stick 11) They have timeless and unforgettable songs 12) They influenced the rap line in kpop. In the start kpop didn't always had rappers and they all along with the singers sounded almost the same and the rappers hardly rap at all. BIG BANG changed that. They put their own color and different voices and changed that. 13) Along with PSY and some other groups BIG BANG opened the doors to America and introduced kpop music to the world. 14) their live performances were always different and unique. 15) they are the idols of the idols and they inspired so many new idols to try to become singers. And many many more. So I hope now you see that they earned the title and that NO ONE can steal their title. I'm not saying that other groups haven't done anything of course not. But especially the new groups cannot compare to our kings. Even if you hate BIG BANG please accept those facts and RESPECT the idol of your idols.👍

Steal their title? What does that even mean? It's just something that a lot you Kpop fandoms only invented to fit a narrative. By no means it doesn't discredit what they have done as a group. But lets remember there have been people, behind the scenes, who too have helped BigBang become who they are and guided them as well. But they're invisible. Without them, BigBang wouldn't still be this huge group in Kpop. But BigBang has also pulled their own weight to be this successful as they have been. Didn't know there was a title these Kpop singers had to get. Honestly, what is so important about getting that title? Cause it really isn't at the end of the day. I think no one is denying or ignoring BigBang's achievements so far, because yes they put the work in and then there is a thing called luck. Why must in Kpop, these people be called Idols (I even hate saying that)? Couldn't there be another way to say besides that? It's just a horrible practice to normalize these people as something more (no wonder why one of the reasons they get stress out) and weird to put these people on a pedestal for no reason. "NO ONE can steal their title" is just a closed minded way to think. In every generation, there is always that one group that they aspire to be and then the next generation is aspire by them. It's a cycle that has been happening for years and years.

Always and forever!!!❤️❤️❤️ I was able to go to the MADE concert in Korea when it was Daesung's birthday and it was truly the best concert that I have ever been to (I use to do security for concerts so I've been to alot of concerts in the States & overseas)

Sadly I'm young, broke (Just me, I'm broke), and living in a basically unknown town in Canada with overprotective grandparents who don't understand why I even like K-Pop. But It Is Possible!!! You have to find a way to make your dreams come true. Maybe do a foreign exchange program at your high school or college like a semester abroad in S. Korea. Bigbang didn't change my life because I'm too old for that. I just simply love their music. The diversity of their music genre was incredible that it crosses language and race barriers. Their charisma, swag and stage performance were extraordinary too. It's like five superstars in one group.

Wamy Dolfin right now all of them are in the military. So nothing new right now . Junhyung left Highlight because he watched a inappropriate video sent by JJY so that he left Highlight but never left AroundUs entertainment he or the label would have said that. But on the wiki they call him former artist when he never left the label. They even said that he was leaving for the military. So yeah, nothing new but they have great music from being in beast and Highlight I recommend you check them out. I hope I was some help.

Hey, your explanation about TOP’s case is inaccurate. You could’ve mentioned he did smoke weed before his enlistment and admitted to it when it was found out while he was already conscripted as a police. He wasn’t found unconscious in his own home. He was staying in the police barracks where he asked for a psychiatrist for help... but the police didn’t let him. It took him 5 days before he did take a lot of his anxiety pills and the police brought him to the hospital. He was given a 2-year probation (is already serving that suspended sentence since July 2017) which will end this July 20th after his enlistment. The judge will then dismiss his 10-month prison sentence if TOP hasn’t broken any laws this past 2 years.

And with Seungri... most of the accusations against him are false. From the chats which were manipulated by the media, to his involvement in molka, even the prostitution. So the ONLY accusation they tried to charge him with is embezzlement. That’s why the court rejected his arrest warrant because there’s NO VALID EVIDENCE to back up these accusations against him. All of these came from “informants” and the media. And just so you know... it was released on the news recently that the police has been investigating the embezzlement issue for 3 weeks now but cannot find an evidence to prove it. See? It’s all because of BB’s brand that they are being targeted as scapegoats to hide the real issues. It’s not the first time the South Korean media have done this to popular celebrities... especially YG artists. Everyone’s throwing accusations and lies at them but the truth will always prevail.

forever the kingssss. Seungri is disowned at this point. He strayed too far from the music and is lost forever. I feel for TOPv.... I love kpop but it's weed... It's sad how stigmatized marijuana is in Asia. He has always been genuinely about the music. He said in a show once that he felt uneasy with Seungri business friends sometimes bc he felt like they're not good people and they're using him and he said he worries for Seungri bc he felt like they came together for the music and then Seungri started to stray... So sad how true his statement became. He's a decent person. The whole lot of them aside from Seungri are very genuine and passionate..... They are back again and I hope it won't be the last time. I will forever be a VIP and a Blackjack

Salty remark. There are always 2 sides to a coin. Don't be so narrow. True that social media was not big then but they were not in such a competitive climate then too. With Social media, the idols need to stay ON TOP of their game 24/7 and be the BEST OF THE BEST. Social media is unforgiving. So stop ✋ comparing periods and show your respect before you expect respect back. Anyway ironically the scandals of BB made me watch BB videos. Not really into them. But fantastic baby is catchy. Still prefer the current crop.

@@StarDust-yx1lj actually BigBang were known as their high quality and "different" music. Plus every member could produce their own music and of course G-Dragon will produce many hits. Again. Maybe BigBang will create the 3rd version of "Fantastic Baby" and "Bang Bang Bang". So i think BigBang would shake the korean hallyu wave once again no matter how many groups have debuted in recent years.

i first listened to bigbang in 2015 as a lil 6th grader and oh my god they flipped my world on its HEAD. five years later i have only felt the same emotions towards one other music artist. they will always hold a special place in my heart, and despite the scandals and issues and what not, i will NEVER be ashamed to be a VIP!

I LIVED through all of this OMG. Big Bang was the first kpop group I listened to and the one who brought me into Kpop. I went to their last world tour and it was such an amazing experience, regardless of all the controversies Big Bang are the Kings of Kpop. They paved the way for all your faves and the reason they stayed on top for so long was that all the members were practically soloists. I hope we get a full comeback one day at least with the other 4 members. Even solo careers. They're too talented to never make music again! PERIOD!

Big bang won't end because of seungri, they will continue and they're the reason many idols are now idols and famous, Europeans and Americans won't know their influence because 99% of them became fans in 2016-2018. in all of asia and north africa, big bang were famous since their debut, same with super junior, 2ne1, seo taeji, the boys and so on They even topped music charts in west asia (arab countries) which is the hardest market in Asia to be top because basically they invented music

@@kek-senpai243 Nope. I just felt like he never really belonged. Like I said, Seungri is the most forgettable member in Big Bang. Everyone else had a brand. G-Dragon is an androgynous fashion icon, Daesung is a trot prince who had those pipes, TOP with his deep voice and good looks, and Taeyang is a ballad-singing romantic guy who also had pipes and an allergy to shirts. But what do people really know Seungri for besides being a creep? Nothing. He was just there, and deep down, I think he knew it. That's most likely why he tried so hard to be noticed in any way possible, even taking this dark path.

When I started listening to K-pop, I felt embarrassed cuz some of my friends made fun of me. When I started listening to BigBang, I felt like I had my confidence back and my friends stop bullying me. And now they listen to BigBang to. Every day I come to school, they play ,"fantastic baby" , "bae" ,"zutter" and a few more.

If they never listened to Kpop before, then the only explanation will be that the sound and the culture was new to them. So I'm assuming they didn't mean to make fun of you (which might seem bad from your perspective), but more so because they probably felt uncomfortable at first. It's rather startling of discovering something new right in your face and Kpop in literally is all your face, daunting, strange, and a language we don't understand at first. So it's a taken a back first experience; whether it's good or not, really depends on the song. Until we get use to it and starting to understand the culture and therefore enjoying Kpop. Which sounds like to me your friends listen to the songs everyday now because the initial shock is over. Then again I could be wrong about your friends.

I only got to know BigBang in 2008, but that's mostly because social media wasn't as big then and it was next to impossible for a person living outside Korea to get hold of their physical albums unless you go to Korea (which I couldn't at the time because I was a penniless student). But I took the time to learn BigBang's history through fan-subbed videos (ahhh I remember how hard it was having to download these videos through forums) and watched their concerts (Stand Up is still one of my faves ever). Those were good times.

I'm glad you did this video. This new generation needs to understand WHO BIG BANG REALLY IS. Your favourite wouldn't have made it without them. They gave light to the Korean Wave. Many groups (ehem) started copying their style and the way kpop would be marketed
