I read about Native Americans in the USA, specifically British North America, who fought against European colonization. As a result, they were captured and sold to the Caribbean as slaves, these people ended in Barbados, Jamaica, and Haiti. The Native Americans that were enslaved in French Saint Domingue were from the Choctaw, Natchez, and Houma Tribes.

My sister you are correct on almost everything you said except that Jamaica was the largest slave population it was actually Brazil being the most populous place where African slaves were taken and the longest lasting slavery then like the Americas by population then Jamaica then like then like Haiti by population then like Columbia and Cuba Puerto Rico panama elsalvador mexico ect but that doesn't matter tho I could be wrong in order but I know Brazil is number 1 with most and longest lasting and they were very brutal in Brazil too and still is very racist in the favelas keep going tho everything u are saying is on point and 💚 what u doing sa pa se they know what they are doing with Haiti keeping Haiti in sufferation due to them being the first blacks to revolt and free many countries and they have tried to kill off the Haitians keep them in poverty and sufferation and do it to. Many blacks all across the world

It annoys me as well when people say the Haitians defeated the French because of yellow fever when in reality the Haitians defeated the French in a decisive victory at the Battle of Vertieres. It's a hard pill for some to swallow so they won't give Haiti credit where it's due. Thank you for sharing our Haitian history!

Nah man look into the British naval blockade. The Brits stopped the French from being able to send troops and supplies, which is why they were defeated. Go ahead and Google it, its a rather well known fact. Just like no taino being on that side of the island when Africans were brought. For some weird reason, Haitians falsely claim to have mixed with them. That taino % actually comes from them having a Dominican relative.

Parecían indios, por eso Colon pensó que había llegado a la India. Pero recuerda que no eran tan oscuros como los negros Africanos. Slavery in Saint Domingue was remarkably brutal. It had the highest death rate in 6Americas. About 1 million died in 100 years of slavery. The average life expectancy of a newly arrived slave was 5 years, as the planters deemed it more profitable to work them to death and replace them with fresh imports. Note that the agricultural output of the colony at it's peak was greater than the entirety of Spanish colonies in the Americas.

Two schools of thought have emerged regarding the origin of the indigenous people of the Caribbean. One group of scholars contends that the ancestors of the Taíno were Arawak speakers who came from the center of the Amazon Basin. This is indicated by linguistic, cultural and ceramic evidence. They migrated to the Orinoco valley on the north coast. From there they reached the Caribbean by way of what is now Guyana and Venezuela into Trinidad, migrating along the Lesser Antilles to Cuba and the Bahamian archipelago. Evidence that supports the theory includes the tracing of the ancestral cultures of this people to the Orinoco Valley, and their languages to the Amazon Basin. The alternate theory, known as the circum-Caribbean theory, contends that the ancestors of the Taíno diffused from the Colombian Andes. Julian H. Steward, who originated this concept, suggests a migration from the Andes to the Caribbean and a parallel migration into Central America and into the Guianas, Venezuela, and the Amazon Basin of South America. Taíno culture as documented is believed to have developed in the Caribbean. The Taíno creation story says that they emerged from caves in a sacred mountain on present-day Hispaniola. In Puerto Rico, 21st-century studies have shown that a high proportion of people have Amerindian mtDNA. Of the two major haplotypes found, one does not exist in the Taíno ancestral group, so other Native American people are also among the genetic ancestors. DNA studies changed some of the traditional beliefs about pre-Columbian indigenous history. According to National Geographic, "studies confirm that a wave of pottery-making farmers known as Ceramic Age people set out in canoes from the north-eastern coast of South America starting some 2,500 years ago and island-hopped across the Caribbean. They were not, however, the first colonizers. On many islands they encountered a foraging people who arrived some 6,000 or 7,000 years ago...The ceramicists, who are related to today's Arawak-speaking peoples, supplanted the earlier foraging inhabitants-presumably through disease or violence-as they settled new islands."

New here and just subscribed to your three channels. Great content and you are awesome. You said something I've never heard before. If the voodoo ceremony was so powerful to kick the French out, why the voodoo power can't bring Haiti back to glory? Although I'm not a fan of voodoo and disagree with the claim that the slave used the devil to beat the French, but I do think that ceremony did unify them. It did give them a spark. With that said, It's absolutely baloney for people to say we are cursed because of that ceremony. That ceremony has been advertised the wrong way. I don't want to write a book here, but real quick. I did a Biblical research on that ceremony and it was fascinating. Believe it or not, Haitians are Levites if you know what I mean. That gathering was a call to God, not the devil. The slaves called the White god evil and they reached to God which they called the Good God (Bondye) hmmm. There's more to this, but I will stop right here. Please, check it out.

Voodoo has its ceremonies, christianity and other religions as well. It don't change anything during battle (maybe morale boost?). In my school history lessons were mostly about Europe. Now I really like learning about history and culture of other countries. I understand your emotions and how hard it must've been to make this video. Thank you.

Nah desaline ain’t no snitch tousaint had tried to meet up for a peace treaty and he met up with the French when he was I guess going to French or on the way he was captured then so pretty much they flip the switch on him and captured him like that. Also in Henry Christophe book the same thing happen too but what Christophe did was he went to the meeting with the French but had his army surround the building and told them what’s up 😂 but yeah desaline didn’t snitch they straight up snatched him and they tried to do the same to Christophe. This guy also shows 2 books about it kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i7yqfdiolqrIdpc.html

interesting video but i doubt voodoo culture was invented by the French though and if I remember correctly the English wrote extensively about losing huge number of troops to diseases on the island to the extend that troops in the UK refused to board their ships.

13:08 you completely lost me. Are you suggesting some peoples of African dissent first colonized Haiti and wiped out the pre-existing native population or they were the first people's to arrive there? Great video but the suggestion that the indigenous peoples of the americas and Caribbean were black is very conspiracy pilled.

You think if we were Africans Dessalines would call the army "The African Army" instead of "The Indigeonus Army" (Armée Indigéne). And "mulatto" during that time ment an Indian for example mixed with anyone else would be classified as a mulatto. The West Indian Slavetrade is recorded history that fits the so called trans-atlantic slave trade narrative. I'm sure there are a few Africans that were brought to Haiti, but not 500.000. I think there was about 40.000 slave owners and half of them were dark-skinned most of they fled to Louisiana after the revolution. It's a complicated history that has been rewritten by European historians over time to fit the African slave narrative. Columbus wasen't looking for India since India got the name India in the 1940's so thats false. It's called the West Indies cus native Americans (dark-skinned and light-skinned) were called Indians by the European. Jamaicans for example are the only country in the world that has a flag that resembles the Scottish flag. You can find out why in the book caled "The Negro Question".
