I mean the way you described how they portray Batman nowadays (talking back with quips, trying to be funny) fits better with Peter Parker's persona when he's wearing a mask than with the original comic Batman who was stern and serious, so I'm actually fully agreeing with you. :)

Keaton and Conroy are the Batman of my childhood, so off course i'm hyped. So glad Michael Keaton is getting the recognition of what he brought to the character. Some people maybe forget that he got the same backlash as Ledger's Joker before the movie came out, and now are so beloved casting choices, because the two of them make the character their own.

Keaton's portrayal is iconic and gave the character the needed gritty characterization of the late 30s and 40s. A true homage to the origins. The dark gothic environment helped. Jack/Joker slaying Thomas and Martha in the 1989 film will always be the the stuff of nightmares. Napier's distorted voice and wicked grin makes him come off as a demon from hell. Even Joe Chill was stunned.

Keaton has proven he can play a good guy, bad guy and something in the middle of the road. A VERY under rated actor up until Birdman. So glad he has regain success.

You should know that according to collider In January 2023, Gunn and Safran stated that there is potential for a future multiverse project in which they may incorporate Keaton's incarnation of Batman , meaning that Batman Beyond movie could get revived

Man does it suck they aren't making a Batman Beyond movie with him. That really would've been an awesome way to continue his Batman's story after the Flash movie (or rather his Bruce Wayne's story). Also wish they would still release the Batgirl movie somehow. I remember reading years ago that he was also gonna play Batman again for Tim Burton's Superman movie before it got scrapped. It's just amazing how hard it's been for him to reprise his iconic superhero role since Batman Returns was released 30-plus years ago. Of course, it's equally amazing how much backlash and controversy he had to put up with when filming the 89 movie, but I think that alone proved why he was indeed worthy to play the role as he proved he was just as strong-willed as Batman himself by putting up with said backlash.

I have always asserted that Keaton's Batman was the best version of the character. Christian Bale gave memorable performances in the Nolan Batman movies, but Michael Keaton is the one that instantly comes to mind when I think of Batman. He is an incredibly talented actor who gave such a perfect balance to the role. Thanks for sharing his path to this iconic figure.

I remember going to see Batman 89 in the theater with my parents. Honestly yeah a lot of people was being looked at for the role. Keaton made the role his own even his claustrophobia was a motivation when he was in the suit. I don't think we would of had the bat turn if it wasn't for him. Seeing him recreate the iconic movie now it was like muscle memory. I'm excited to see Keaton don the cape and cowl now let's get a live action Batman beyond in the works.

Most people forget that Michael Keaton’s Batman took more pages from Frank Castle/Punisher’s book than Ben Affleck’s Batman did. Yet they give Batfleck more chargin for killing his foes than MK’s Batman did for killing his.🙄 But don’t misunderstand me, Michael Keaton’s run on Batman is legendary and awesome.

Sadly Keaton is probably the only reason I’m for this movie. And I’m don’t think Warner has a lot of faith in it but a lot of money was put into it and it might make a profit because everybody wants him back even if it’s probably a one off. But if this movie goes well we might get Batgirl straight to streaming and dare I say Batman Beyond?

Keaton is probably the most underrated Batman, and it will prolly continue that way for a long time. Unfortunately, after the first two movies and being warranted as too scary for children, they went the kiddy route. Batman Forever wasn't too bad, but you really see the direction during Batman and Robin. Marketing destroyed Batman for a bit.

The second Batman with Keaton is better than the first. He had to deal with two unhinged characters. But the first was good, because it was campy with Jack Nicholson's Joker. Nahh. First 1 is still the best. Nothing campy about it. Second movie was more like a live cartoon, only good thing about it was Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwomen.

Uh… no! It wasn’t! Batman was miles better than Batman Returns! Batman Returns was ruined by Tim Burton mayhem. Jack Nicholson’s Joker had alot to do with why it was it was such a great movie. You need to see a psychiatrist because your taste way out of wack

Jack Nicholson was the best Joker. Way better than Heath Ledger, Ledger didn’t play the Joker… he played a crazy villain with Joker makeup… Jack Nicholson actually played the Joker

Like a few others on here, i saw Batman on the big screen in 89, it was just jaw dropping. For me it was Keaton and Bale who where the best two, with Keaton just ahead.

Michael Keaton's Batman defined much of what we all know about Batman. Many characters made their mark there from Joker, Catwoman, Penguin and more. They are very iconic portrayals.

Keaton killed it as the Vulture in the MCU, just wished Sony kept him out of "Morbius" in the mid and post-credit scenes after "No Way Home" proved to be more successful than that other movie

You left out the part of a Batman Beyond movie with Keaton being scrapped as well. I'm hoping that it's still a possibility. That's why I'm counting on this movie to be a major hit by Keaton for Keaton.

There were a ton of blockbusters in the 80s but the 1989 Batman was the first big blockbuster weekend I was involved in. We went to see it on opening night. Lines were wrapped all around the theater both inside and out. It was really cool to be a part of it, then the movie lived up to everything we wanted it to be.

Yeah, Christian Bale played a great Bruce Wayne but as The Batman he kinda sucked, I think Nolan only read the popular Comic Books Of The Batman like The Long Halloween, The Dark Knight Returns, Year One, And maybe one more the problem is those are iconic but the reason those put Batman into a diffrent state other than year one who don't see The Batman in his usual character And even Year One is just Buliding the Batman, the Bruce Wayne didn't completely becomes the Batman yet the stories were accurate But some characters like Talia Al Ghul, A Little bit Ra al Ghul(as Villain) and The Batman himself were very less accurate, in a nutshell the best parts were accurate and the worst parts were completely inaccurate!

@@deathtime5288 While the Nolan movies were fantastic, with a Mega Hollywood Production on each of them, it wasn't really because Bale. He's an excellent actors, but had been much better in many other films. In fact, I'll argue in each of the films he's outshined by all of the villans, and their acting (Ledger, Hardy, Neeson) One can even make this argument for some of the co-starts like Hathaway, Eckart, Micheal Caine and Morgan Freeman.

When I watched The Flash trailer for the 1st time, I didn't know what to expect (stayed away from any reactions or leaks). When the voice-over says "Want some help?", then Flash turns on the lights to the Bat-Cave, '89 came rushing back. Add in Elfman's score and Keaton's Batman saying his iconic line, i had tears of joy. Keaton reprising his role as Batman is really the only reason i want to see The Flash. Apart from West, Keaton is the titular Caped Crusader.

Hugh jackman - Wolverine 6. Arnold Schwarzenegger- Mr Freeze 5. Patrick Stewart - Charles Xavier 4. Robert Downey Jr - Tony Stark 3. John Bernthal - Frank Castle 2. Chris Evans - Captain America And on my very first spot I have Heath Ledger because of his legendary portrayal of The Joker.
