definitely need a Krypton movie, those first 15 minutes of Man of Steel were amazing and I would love to see more of Krypton

The amount of detail and thought that went into this film is spectacular, the logic of the world is rock solid from the kryptonian undersuits to the language/alpahbet of Krypton itself. Zack and Chris were on a whole other level while making MoS 👏🙌

I never fully understood why people were so upset that Supes kills Zod at the end to save others..The usual complaint was that “Superman never kills!”. That’s fine and all but I just figured it was a different universe than what came before..So the killing was ok with me..People brought their own historical baggage of what the character was and that was where the backlash came from

1:58 Not to diminish the idea but Richard Donner's idea of the S being a crest and a valued symbol was genius. And Birthright by Mark Waid used it as the flag of Krypton. All good ideas to bring the culture of Krypton as a supersuit by Superman. also the energy flare look of him around 4:50 is sorta reminding me of "The Men of Tomorrow” arc by writer Geoff Johns and artist John Romita, Jr., where he used the New 52 to explain a new ability, a flare power/solar flare.

While the movie has it's issues, I love Man of Steel, but I'm not a Snyder-obsessor. The Man of Steel suit is my favorite look for the character, and the film's score is incredible.

The sigils and kryptonian alphabet and all IS from the comics originally, Snyder evolved it more, but all of it came from the comics, Snyder is a DC fan at heart he loves the comics too and took most details in all his movies right from the pages, which is why he made the best dc

The S on Superman's chest being the symbol for the house of El wasn't a new thing created specifically for Man of Steel. Richard Donner came up with it first for Superman The Movie back in 1978.

MOS is one of my favorite films, they did a great job.

Best Superman ever!

We didn't deserve Zack Snyder. We still aren't worthy of him. But we need him and his unique vision.

Yeaah... It's cool, the sci-fi aspect is very interesting... But trying to make Superman MORE alien kinda goes against a lot of core traits to his character, and at the heart of that he is just as valid a human/earthling as anyone else. Not to say giving more focus to and exploring his more alien ancestry and history is a bad thing, but the way Man of Steel went about it frankly over complicated the character to a point that it turned away many viewers both casual and fans alike. There's a reason we didn't like the weird tale on the Greem Lantern costume from the movie even if it looked more sci-fi and alien, and it's because it escalates it to a point you just totally detach the character visually from anything you can really keep them grounded with. Not to say all super hero suits should be uber grounded to the point of looking tactical, there's still a charm to the comic book inspired looks. Just it's also good to not go too extreme into the other direction that you totally alienate anyone who was hoping for something more easy to follow and attach to.

With these concept pieces mixed with the fact the DCEU introduced Gods; I'm wondering what Nightwing would've looked like. Those not aware; Superman in a comic book story was the inspiration for Dick Grayson deciding on the moniker which he named after a Kryptonian God.

We should have gotten JL2/3 and a proper MOS sequel by now, before going backwards to the "Young" SuperBoy: Legal Age Legacy. What's next SuperBaby: Lego City?

As much as I liked Krypton in MOS, the Donner Krypton had this otherwordly ethereal feel to it, plus the music as well. I also believe that no trunks...fine, but the yellow behind the S is a must. It just helps it stand out more. The red/black S is Kingdom Come Superman which is fine, but I feel most definitely I relate the S with yellow behind it. The Kryptonian script was great and understand Snyder wanted a modern realistic planet, but sometimes characters like Superman their World should be extraordinarily like Donners, but yeah still love both original Movies and their take on Superman. Cavill suited the black/silver costume the best and the BA cameo had me pumped for more...then they took it away! Why? Cavill was ready for a new brighter more optimistic Superman adventure...but now we go backwards...again.

Sadly we are not gonna get a detailed superhero movie like this anymore both in Marvel and DC. Gunn is just going to screw up his Superman with dance numbers and crazy antiques. Gonna miss you badly Zack and Henry 😢

Best superman movie

I still don't understand how this movie and depiction of superman was not hailed as the best. From the actors to the storyline and of course Cavill. It's a bit frustrating to see how DC and Gunn have dismantled this great version just as well as the majority of the higher ups complaining of Snyder's darker take. All in all cool video but sad to not see this version continue.

Goddamn, I love the Man of Steel story and world building. I also found it odd over the years that an alien has an English letter on his chest or that a god-like being was wearing spandex. I much prefer the alien chainmail bodysuit.

I love this movie. The only part I can't defend is the death of Jonathan Kent.

I remember being in high school in 2013 in grade 11 and in the summer i watched man of steel in theathers with friends and man i was so disappointed and was also was shocked how much destruction was going on also it felt off seeing superman kill zod. Superman is not perfect but he is not a killer most of the time. Ultraman would be a killer more than superman.

MAN OF STEEL did not invent the idea of Kryptonian dress, family crests nor capes; this production used the best ideas from SUPERMAN THE MOVIE 1978 and made them more cosmetically complicated. Not an achievement.

I hate the MOS suit. The colors are all wrong. It's so terrible. Poor Henry Cavill was made to look like he had a small package. Why didn't they give Superman a proper bulge? Why didn't they give Henry Cavill enough room for his own private parts? The crotch is so tight. Side note: I'm so glad they didn't use the concepts you showed in the video
