Spent the first and best 15 years of my life living in Michigan. Still call it home 45 years later. Have a KLR and a strong desire to return for a visit. Time to make it happen.

I am only eleven minutes into this video and had to stop to tell you how much I like it. The intro music, the camera angle, the easy-going narrative, the editing, everything. Listening with headphones to catch everything (old ears). This is high quality Swanky Cat stuff and I'm not kidding. Whatever mindset you used to produce this . . . you are hitting all the right viewer buttons.

Anywhere along the big lake is fantastic. Used to live on the north shore and only dreamed off rides like this. Wasn’t until years later when I got my Klr . Giving me the winter blues , watching this in my ice shack 😂

Being a native Michigander (a troll from the LP), really enjoyed this video on KLR. Now in NE MN, took my son up to the Keweenaw during his spring break, some 16 long years ago. Fantastic memories. Recognized most the places you visited. Ol' Ben has done a stellar job building up that bike which most definitely brought out the best of that KLR for your adventure. Great video!

Luv the KLR. I sold my 22 last year and looking to replace it soon. My dilemma is now I've noticed some very low mileage 2018-2019 Tiger 800 xca's and the tiger 900. Still debating. Nice video!

Excellent video. As an owner of a 2022 KLR, as my first adventure bike (previous 10 years on street bike), I feel exactly the same. Wasn't sure at first if it was the right bike for me. Yeah, it's a bit slow for interstates, but I always hated riding interstates and avoided them even on my BMW street bike. So, I've learned to relax, take it easy, and be more on the lookout for back roads , paved or unpaved. Tried a few portions of MABDR but usually in small chunks. I'm considering a longer trip this summer to Maine with some dirt roads on the way there.. Loved this video. Keep it up.

Yep I know what you mean. I always thought faster is better, and as much as that can be fun. The truth is, 60mph on the back roads is where it's at. Makes it much harder to enjoy anything the faster you go!

Enjoyed watching! Before you go for the Tenere, you might want to check out the Suzuki 800DE. Such a nice ride, with really nice suspension especially for the riding on this video, torquey, better fuel range compared to the Tenere, and far more off and on-road capability than the KLR. Fairly close to the Tenere off road, very comfortable doing 80mph on the highway all day. Tenere, not so much. I've had both, the KLR and the 800DE and I do like the KLR. The downside for the KLR, like you say, highway. Bottom line, the DE outclasses the KLR by a longshot and far more comfortable and more power on the highway than the Tenere. I hear there are good deals on the DE right now. Somehow this bike has slipped under the radar. Maybe the weight numbers, but it doesn't feel as heavy as the KLR and many have said it is easier to pick up than the Tenere.
