i think it was back by then, it wasnt really clear when it came back. like when he tried to kill elena, he told her that he blames klaus for his actions which means he resents him, and u have to care to actually hate someone. stefan knew he couldnt come back after doing all the things he did when his humanity was off so he just kept acting cold.

ok, Stefan is great and all. You will never hear me say Stefan doesn’t deserve happiness, but let’s not act like Damon was the onlyyy one doing bad. Stefan has a WALL of victims. He literally ripped people’s bodies apart. Damon could be cold and impulsive, BUT he always did right by Stefan. He always looked out for his little brother. Damon went through a lot too. He loved one woman for 152 years and she crushed his heart and said she would always pick Stefan and never even loved him. all the while stefan was being the ripper. Damon really opened Elena up. Sorry for all this, but I’m watching again and all my emotions are heightened lolol. One of the best shows everrr
