Kol is the most insane, reckless and violent of all the Mikaelson family of course Elijah doesn’t give a damn about putting him down as he was a threat to them all with his recklessness. Rebekah is his baby sister and she doesn’t do anything to warrant her time asleep unlike Kol who acts like a dumbass. 6. Oh yes feel pity for the douchebag who was apart of a cult and again was a threat to his family. 7. Elijah was still pissed at Marcel for what he had done (making them all miss years of Hope growing up). 8. Davina was already dead and she was killed due to her own actions. I’m not excusing his actions I’m giving the reasons as to why they were carried out that’s all. All of the Mikaelsons along with pretty much in this show is an asshole.

Many flashback scenes suggested that Klaus valued Rebekah and Elijah, and the home they built. And that’s why he adopted Marcel. A real family is what he wanted, and Elijah saw that in him which is why he supported him. Kol was always the craziest and most blood thirsty of the family, he wasn’t made that way because Klaus daggered him. Klaus daggered him because he was like that. Yeah I guess they could have let him go but as Elijah said "it is imperative that we remain together". A family is strongest together. That was their motivation. Klaus and Elijah valued their family the most while the others didn’t give a shit.

Age means strength, not overall power. The reason Damon won in that scene was because he quickly caught Kol off guard and stabbed him. Strength played no part in it and if Kol wasn't always so damn cocky he wouldn't be caught off guard so often. The same thing with when Jeremy killed him, he didn't expect two weaklings to be able to beat him.

Of course he cared, he was devestated when he lost her, after he was cursed to kill her, his family (Elijah mostly, but also Freya chose to sacrifice Davina, and he tried hard to resist the curse.
