​@@RPDthe3rd TL;DR - No there still is caloric value in alcohol vapor because of how our bodies work, but just not even close to as much The long version is that - Calories are a measure of chemical energy within something. More specifically (In most use cases, such as the food calorie) is the amount of heat needed to raise 1Kg of water 1 degree Celsius. This chemical energy is used by your body primarily to generate heat, but also to just function from day to day from breathing to your heart pumping. The vast majority of what we, eat, drink, or sometimes even breath can have calories after being processed. The same goes for alcohol, when it gets to the liver it gets processed into calories, to get full use of the calories you drink it. But when inhaled as a vapor a significant amount less gets processed, leading to a very sharp decrease in the amount of calories being utilized and processed by your body. To be more exact on numbers; when drank 25% of alcohol is going from your stomach to your bloodstream, the rest gets broken down to ethyl-acetate, urinated, or turned to sweat. Compare that to inhaling vapor, it all goes direct to bloodstream and only some of it hits your liver just by passing through it, so essentially 100% hits your bloodstream and then after that the you only really get unused alcohol getting processed by your liver, which will generate calories that your bodies can use. So it is not 0 calories, just much lower amount of calories that your body can use, the rest are not being processed and are getting you drunk. Edit - I am talking Dietary Calories after the first sentence, technically gasoline has a crazy amount of calories, but it can't be used by our body. And technically Cigarettes have calories, but if eaten you're going to net less calories, and when smoked you will net less calories, but it can still technically have some contents processed and can gain some calories, but the energy taken to get there means you overall have less. Same can be applied to alcohol, I haven't researched that part of it enough, but my point was that since the alcohol vapor probably doesn't have nearly as many chemicals as cigarettes (doesn't produce carcinogens and clog arteries, etc.) and isn't being smoked you most likely are netting positive calories from inhaling it, since it just goes in and goes into your blood.

it's comparing apples to oranges really :) If you take a shot of vodka, in about 10 minutes or so as it gets into your system you feel the effects of 1 shot of vodka. If you inhale it with a vaportini you skip the digestive process as it's directly in your blood stream "fast path" without digestion. You don't get multiplied effects because its still the same volume of product in your system. The vaportini doesn't invent new alcohol, it just skips the digestive process. The big "warning" if you watched Dr. Oz (which tons of people have) is that if you do 3 shots of vodka and your system doesn't want it, it will throw it up. If you inhale 3 shots of vapor your system cannot eject the excess... you're stuck with it. In the end, just don't be stupid (in general) and you'll have a better survival rate with most products from lawn mowers, to cars to alcohol or fast food.

Which is the reason I am interested in getting it in the first place, but just make sure I have the resource to see if its right for me. So far being that I love the effect of alcohol and HATE the taste of it I am leaning towards getting it. For my body to achieve the most contributive "euphoria" peak you can get with the consumption of alcohol which is a BAC level of .055 I would have to drink two shots of vodka simultaneously and then ofcourse it taking about 20 minutes to reach that BAC level of .055. With that being said if I smoke all of the 1st shot of vodka in the vaportini then immediately toss the unusable water thats left and replace it with another shot of vodka and having to wait 5 minutes for the same procedure to be able to smoke it and then after 5 minutes when its ready smoke all of it will I reach a BAC of about .055 being that I smoked 2 shots of vodka (about 5 minute gap from each other)?

bijan2 Yes, I figured as much. We've been selling vaportini's in our store (awesomedrinks.com) since about a month after this video launched (roughly July 2013) and every now and again when something public occurs we get a surge of both views and sales. Last time when Snoop Dogg used it on The League we had a bunch of sales surge for a few weeks and then all of a sudden we sold out instantly (so I've had to ship the last sixty or so direct from the manufacturer) and I talked to the vaportini crew and they mentioned they just got on Dr. Oz so I should expect more sales (I then went and watched the video myself). If you're counting body mass or anything like that into account (as most do when drinking, a skinny lady will get drunk faster than a heavy guy) then skip that part as this goes pretty much from lungs to blood (just like oxygen). So, you probably don't need more than a few puffs and then sit with it for awhile to maintain (because it will wear off much quicker than digestion of alcohol does). For example drink one shot of liquor than smoke one shot of liquor using Vaportini so that would equal 2 shots total that within 10 minutes or closer from each other or would somehow drinking and smoking alcohol simultaneously or near each other time lapse prove fatal even with a small dosage of just 2 shots because it somehow multiplies the effect like alcohol and drugs (sorry about similar question about effect multiplying btw, but with a noob drinker in the ignorance therof like me you would never know)?

bijan2 There has been extremely little testing nor any permutations of testing to suggest what would happen. I would claim to be a scientist nor claim to know how each individual body would react to different ways of doing things (e.g. I also wouldn't have an answer if someone said, "will two shots make me drunk" because it depends on body mass, tolerances, etc) But, if you have no problem drinking a shot or two, then perhaps that's probably all you need to begin with and this is just an added expense :)

Adam Jensen a five minute warm up isn't bad, I've used it prior a bit and a few times after the review to do a sober baseline and then let it wear off to count how long it was taking, etc. The difference is, because you get the effects instantly, you can control it more and they don't last as long so you can continue to use it to keep your "buzz" longer but, once you stop, it wears off quicker...if that makes sense. Since you're not metabolizing what's in your system and keeping you drunk for longer periods.

Ah, I see what you did there. You mixed logic and "will" "can" and "never" to try to make a misleading point. See, drinking and eating will never kill you ...unless you choke and die. But, excessive eating and drinking have side effects like diabetes, massive weight gain, liver damage, lack of oxygen to the brain and poisoning. Pot may be linked to lung cancer much like smoking can be linked to lung cancer, as a side effect of excess. Excessive ANYTHING can kill you eventually, either directly or as a bi-product. The word "never" is absolute and usually one can find a whole in that logic.

Pot has scientists stumped as it is actually beneficial to our lungs when all other smoke is bad. They aren't sure if it is the THC, CBD's or any of the other several thousand chemicals in the smoke. Smoking pot with years of tar build up in the lungs will get in behind that tar and pull it away from the lung walls and help to expel to carcinogens in the tar. Pot has been shown to shrink cancers and even cure several all together. The old way of thinking about pot and those that still believe that it will kill you, make you go crazy etc was propagated by the ignorant plus big pharma companies that knew it was indeed good for the body and wanted it banned as it would cut into their profits. I do not actually smoke pot though. I vaporise it, make it into oil to rub into my bad knee, make it into a butter and even a tincture (alcoholic pot).
