The Holy See and the People’s Republic of China signed an agreement on the appointment of bishops on Saturday, September 22, in Beijing.
In a statement, Holy See Secretary of State Cardinal Parolin said that the objective of the Holy See is a pastoral one, to create the condition of a greater freedom, autonomy and organization for the mission of announcing the Gospel.
