I remember the commercial on TV for this in 1972. The narrator said "The phone isn't the only thing dead around here" while zooming in on a dead eye peeking out of a wicker basket. It made an impact because we were just talking about this movie 50 years after we first saw it! Thank you for uploading!

I just serendipitously found this old 1970’s made for tv movie, and those classic 70’s scary made for tv movies are so fun to watch. I believe also this is just about the king of “storms/rainstorms” scary movies lol. The added element of dark rainy nights and thunder and lightning storms always makes these old scary movies all that much more spookier and enjoyable imo. This old 1972 flick has that Dan Curtis vibe to it as well! Starring the late great Elizabeth Montgomery and co-starring in the Mother Nature role from hell, t-storms and rain. The Victim is a recommended old classic made for tv thriller from the seventies!

I would gladly watch anything with Elizabeth Montgomery in it. Even this "gem" can't change my mind. Thanks!

The world always seemed a little bit more beautiful when they both were still here. It's hard to believe that I'm older than Elizabeth when she past on, and how sweet Dawn must have made the world around her. Wherever I fantasize I always wonder witch one I could pick to be mine, and then the world around me crumbles back to reality! Well with both of them in heaven at least I know heaven would be a good place to be;....but not yet; not yet. The world misses you both, and I have all seasons of Gilligan's Island and Bewitched! A freaky forgotten about film that rates highly on it's interest-maintaining and spookiness. A good choice for haunted house buffs and haloween nights.

They really had to pad this movie out because in the first 2 minutes of the killer stalking Elizabeth Montgomery, she turns him into a newt.

This film has everything. Lack of marriage counselling.. drink driving..equal opportunity employment for the deaf housekeeper...until she was fired that was. And a murder. I'm not convinced the husband did it. He wasn't horrible enough otherwise the pets would have been scared of him. I'm sceptical of the integrity of the police officers too. Finding a screaming drunk woman behind the wheel of a car with her dead sister in the back and a husband squashed against a tree should warrant further Investigation. That's exactly why I loved it all. Keep up the good work.

Great movie its a good thriller with no gore. I've seen 3 movies with Elizabeth Montgomery. Some time ago. Making this my fourth one of her. my favorite is her being a reporter acting like a detective I really loved that one. I was hoping it would become a series. The other two were darker ones. Maybe you guys should have a live in doctor it would save time. Take care.

Elizabeth Montgomery went from being "The Victim" in 1972 to taking it to _The Man_ as Lizzy Bordon in 1975! =) I know she'll always be remembered for Samantha Stevens in "Betwitched," but I think one of my favorite roles of her's was as the post apocalyptic female combatant opposite Charles Bronson in "The Twilight Zone" episode "Two."
