My mom has lived in the Villages since 1997 and Spanish Springs is her town square. She absolutely loves it there.

We followed your RV adventure right from the downsizing and custom ordering your Tiffin. Surprised to find you here. We thought we might full time, but when we found TV that all changed. We bought a little 26' BTcruiser earlier this year and, since we are from the west coast, are enjoying our explorations of the east coast. Spent last weekend in Savannah. One suggestion for you guys: The newest village, Moultrie Creek, looks like a fantastic place to be. Eastport is going to be THE place down south and MC will be very close to it. BTW, we are in Hammock at Fenney - it will be be 2 years this coming Feb - and could not be happier here in TV. Good luck to you. :)

Hi Roy & Karen! Great to hear from you. Thanks for following our journey back from the downsizing our old house to our Full Time RV travel days. Looking forward to closing out that chapter of life and beginning our TV experience. We are surprised too! We were looking at and close to purchasing at another Active Adult Community close to WDW before we saw Peter’s video on TV four months ago. We have visited TV many times the last few months including our LSV a few weeks ago. We are getting really close to being there full time. We hung out at the Fenney pool and rec center on our LSV. Great area! Congratulations on your upcoming 2 year anniversary at TV and your RV. We will probably buy an Airstream or something similar to what you purchased later on (after we sell our Class A Motorhome). Hard to believe but we will be celebrating 4 years of full time RV life in just a few weeks. To quote The Grateful Dead… “Lately it occurs to me. What a long, strange trip it’s been.” We are so excited to start this next chapter of life at TV. Look forward to catching up once we move in. Thanks for the info and suggestions! Funny to see the villages “empty”. We live just north of 44. A lot more convenient getting around. To see how crowded things get come back Jan-April. By the way 2 RV clubs here.

We are looking forward to being there full time before January. We heard snowbird season is a lot busier at the Town Squares (and everywhere at TV). Thanks for the info on the RV clubs. Will check them out.

Love Spanish Springs. Rocky gets a HUGE crowd in the winter time when all the snow birds head back.

Spanish Springs looks like fun! I love that Rocky was playing Billy Idol's "Money, Money". That chocolate ice cream looked to die for good! I know it was hot there but we live in Florida and you do acclimate to the heat. Now I have no tolerance for the cold. If it's 60 degrees outside I'm bundled up!

Great videos ! Speaking for the Gen X generation , are there bands that cover 70’s rock and 80’s ? Or are we too young?

I'm also Gen X; just turned 50 not old enough but close. I was wondering that too as TV population turns over and Gen Xs arrive will they modernize with the population. My aunt lives there. I would totally go. I don't think my wife wants to.

Went to see an old friend who moved there, I had no idea the Villages was so big, she is in Fenny. I booked a hotel in the Villages and was so surprised that it took so long to get to Spanish Springs it I loved it there! Best of luck, can’t wait to get there myself!

Glad you had a great time on your visit! The Villages is massive and will continue to grow for the next 30 years at least. Some places are easier to get to on a golf cart and some places it’s better to drive a car (depending on where you live in TV). Thanks!

Great video! I like that you just walk around and show everything, rather than just showing quick clips of video like other vloggers - definitely gives the viewer a better feel for the area! Question - do you see a significant age difference from where you're staying vs Spanish Springs? While I liked the setup, many of those people in this video looked on the older side of old. Just trying to get a sense of the ages in different areas, especially as a potentially younger retiree looking to move there. Thanks in advance!

Did you feel age comfortable? Meaning if I look at the crowd looks and sounds like my parents generation 70-80’s is the majority of the population. Being in our mid 50’s it feels like we would be to young for the crowd? Maybe Im just seeing it wrong?

Great questions. Short answer is yes we felt very comfortable everywhere we visited at TV. There are groups, clubs and events for folks in their 50s and 60s too. We will share more of that in a future video. Thanks!
