We uses to renovate & flip houses - my husband got a cable camera that fits his phones, that way he could make a nickel sized hole in sheetrock and see if there is anything important behind it - just an idea for that bumpout. Or you could cut a larger hole in the top of that sheetrock and cover it up with wood, if indeed you need to close it back up due to plumbing or electrical. The Amazon cable camera that attaches to your phone was cheap, fyi.

Yay, another video from my favorite upbeat villagers! I do love the Emerald model - it's on our short list; we like the Topaz, too...but I did notice there's not tons of storage closets. But your ideas to make more storage are good! I was watching your big video on the expenses and am wondering if Tiffany still has to have the temp at 65°? Or has she adapted?

I really like the way you made use of your washer and dryer / storage closet. Love the wheels so you can move the shelving if needed! Thank you for including where you bought everything and the price. Great job, on your closet!

I've never in my life had a laundry room. Even growing up in a 4 bedroom home, there was no laundry room, just a hallway laundry closet. I didn't know CostCo had free delivery. That's awesome. Can Tiffany get everything out of the dryer without a stool? That dryer looks like it's a good height for shorter people like Tiffany and me. I've used stacked W/D sets where I could read everything and some where I couldn't see or reach everything without a small stool. Great setup with the rolling shelf unit!

One suggestion I highly recommend would be to replace the rubber hot and cold washer supply hoses with stainless steel braided hoses. I'm a master plumber and have been in the plumbing industry for over 50 years which I have seen many of the rubber hot and cold washer hoses burst causing major water damage.

Hello Tiffany and Michael! I recently found your channel and enjoy watching your videos. You are both so positive and happy! You are correct about people moving a lot in the villages. We moved from a courtyard villa in Bonita, to a courtyard villa in Charlotte, to a premier home in The Preserve. We currently live near Disney World and moved out of The Villages. Watching your videos makes me realize how much I want to come back. Hopefully someday soon!

Hi Michael and Tiffany! I tried to catch all of your videos, but somehow I seem to miss the one where hopefully you showed the upgrade you made to your laundry closet. At least I know you mentioned something about adding some shelving or something. Did you also add any kind of shelving to your closets and if so, have you, made a video of that? Thank you so much. I’m really trying to get organized here.

Great videos guys. Thank you for your pleasant demeanor and upbeat presentations! We're interested in the type of construction going on in the area immediately south of the Marsh Bend neighborhood within the confines of the new McNeal , Corbin, and Marsh Bend roads. I can't find any reference on the maps that states its intended use? Homes, commercial, or activities? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks,

Wonderful video, been watching a lot of these & preparing for a 2025 lifestyle visit. But this video makes me wonder how you navigate the villages via golf cart? What I mean is none of my GPS’ have a golf cart mode and the golf cart streets seem different from regular car roads? Sorry if this is a stupid question and hopefully this will be clearer once I am there, but just wondering from Michigan.
@MichaelTiffanyTVE3 күн бұрын
Thanks so much for watching! Great question! We will make a video on this topic and post very soon. In the meantime you can download The Villages App for free. It has a lot of useful information and features including a GPS feature that will give you directions by car or golf car. It can seem really confusing driving around TV at first but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. Plus if you get lost on the golf cart you can just pull over to the side of the multi modal and another awesome Villager will probably stop to ask if everything is okay or if you need directions.

Very curious to see the custom weather enclosure you’ve ordered. Hopefully it looks nice as that is about only issue potentially preventing us from purchasing a D5. Have watched a lot of KZfaq videos on this cart. For the most part very favorable! Surprised Evolution doesn’t sell a nicer matching enclosure as an in stock option. Will the enclosure cover golf clubs? How long is the order delivery and install time expected to take?

I have a video suggestion: Take note of how busy the restaurants, rec centers, squares, etc. are during this summer season, then compare it to how busy the same places are this winter. We are considering moving to The Villages, and just completed a lifestyle visit over the Memorial Day weekend. I've heard the winter season is exponentially busier.
@MichaelTiffanyTVE3 күн бұрын
Absolutely! Thanks! As full timers living here year round one of our goals is to document and share as much of that info as possible. Yes the winter is the busiest time of year but it is much cooler and less humid. The summer is pretty empty compared to the winter but you have to adjust for the temps, humidity and hurricanes. Will share more in future videos. Hope you had an awesome lifestyle visit!

Thanks for posting! Yeah, the amount of construction going on in TV is massive. When you go south across that Bexley Bridge and see construction literally as far as you can see...wow! I did have a question for you though. Since you guys live closer to Franklin Rec, is it worth it to head all the way out to Saluki? Aren't they all generally the same? You mentioned that you used to go to Fenney a lot, which got me thinking why people would travel to a different rec center. Either way, we will find out soon enough - we sold our old house this weekend, so we'll be doing the final move-in to our home in Dabney much sooner than expected. Looking forward to spending more time down there soon!

Awesomeness! Congratulations on selling your old home and good luck on your move to your new home in Dabney! Great question about the rec centers. All of the rec center are themed differently and have different vibes. It’s fun to just go check out the different themes and decor. While all rec center do share some of the same basic amenities they do have differences and a unique charm. Excited for y’all to move here to TV and start exploring. Keep us posted! Thanks!

Hey Michael, great video!! Thanks for sharing with us all! Question (and it may sound cold - don’t mean it to): seems like a good amount of recreation centers and pools and places are geared more toward families vs. 55+ only. Do you know if this is something The Villages is doing intentionally to head more toward that family-oriented style? Thanks for any help you can provide on that. Enjoy your time in TV for me and hopefully we’ll be there in around eight years (man…sounds like forever). ❤❤

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video! Great question. Not totally sure but will do more research, ask folks who work for TV and cover that topic in a future video. My best guess is changing demographics and offering more amenities and activities that appeal to Gen X (our generation) and to also make it more appealing to get kids and grandkids to want and come visit parents/grandparents here at TV. We love it when our 26 year old comes to visit!
