Great video!! Faith No More was also on Slash Records in the UK, makes sense. I imported the CD into the UK in 1995 when it wasn't released over here, also bought a Disco Volante tshirt (album cover on the front, the disco volante script on the bottom rear) when they played here in early 96.

This is a great video! Super informative. It would be super interesting to see a similar video about the S/T Bungle record. The S/T has a picture disc release and standard Warner Brothers release from '91 as well as the mediocre Plain release and another reissue by a label known as Music On Vinyl which, from what I've heard, is much better than the Plain reissue.

The only issue with the MOV version for me is that The Secret Song is tacked at the end of Carry Stress, so that song doesnt go into Desert Search. It sounds REALLY good, has no noise at all, but that totally turned me off honestly. Once I get my first press in I'll compare the two.

This channel is underrated.

I picked up the original Warner Bros LP soon after it was released and the mastering was quite bad. The only plus side was the bonus 7-inch.

Thanks for the video, love Mr Bungle. MOV did their self titled and California if I'm not mistaken and both sound great. I think most vinyl people already know this but if they don't, I'll say it again. Don't buy ANYTHING on the PLAIN label !!!!

Still got my WB copy 👳 could never sell it on . . Mr bungle is classic , also still have a copy of first Lp in a numbered picture disc . Still un-opened and shrink wrapped . A thing of beauty .

The video compares the original 1995 edition and the reprint of plain recordings. Plain recordings is not a European record label, plain recordings comes from the USA. There is another version of the label Music on Vinyl, and this comes from Europe. I think this version is by far the best version. I own all 3 versions

Why wasn't this album (and the self-titled debut) pressed over two discs anyways? That's not uncommon these days.

I happen to own a DV vinyl copy which doesn't seem to be any of those described in your video and I was wondering whether is a WB reissue or a european copy. In my copy, (which is a transparent vinyl btw) the artwork has not as pristine definition as the original (a bit darker as in the EU copy) but it does have the separate inlay with the lyrics and the WB logo on it. It reads " Music on Vinyl"on a sticker as well. Any thoughts, anyone? Appreciated.

The reissue of Disco Volante i got sounds great but it doesn't have "Platypus". What the fuck? The first album reissue has 2 albums with one side blank. why wasn't this done for this is the question i assume most people are asking.

Whats the big difference from cd? I mean nowdays all vinyl pressings are mp3 transfer, transfer from Master tapes was done until 80s maybe early 90s and thats it, any vinyl after that is a rip off

Now, Ipecac have finally released all 3 Bungle LPs in a box-set. Have not purchased yet (seems obscenely expensive to me, but I know I will buckle eventually). If it actually sounds better than the MOV/Music On Vinyl pressing, I will be shocked (and happy, obviously!), as that pressing is just stellar. PLAIN recordings sucks. NEVER support them. And they're not European - they're a 'proud' USA company. Just the worst.

The MOV reprints all sound fantastic to me. Plain Recordings sucks. They are also American and not European Plain Recordings 101 Glacier Point, Ste. C San Rafael, CA 94901
