When we were working on the final DLC in Season Pass 2, we focused on the fact that A Dance of Masks is a DLC about the commander's well-deserved break from endless battles and a long-awaited holiday with his favorite companions. In this supplement, players should be able to enjoy all the favorite aspects of communication with the team: Daeran's humorous remarks, Nenio's boundless inquisitiveness, and, of course, Regill's strictness, which hides an endless respect for the commander. And how can you convey all the joy of communicating with companions without their beautiful voices and unique intonations? That's why in A Dance of Masks DLC we've made a full dialog voiceover for the first time. We hope that it will add depth to the story and you will be able to plunge into the atmosphere of the festival in the rebuilt Kenabres.
A Dance of Masks DLC will be released on June 13! Wishlist the DLC to be the first to go on this new adventure. And if you have Season Pass 2, the DLC will automatically become available on release day.

Wrath is probably my favorite CRPG I have ever played. Like BG3 was really good. But something just clicked for me with Wrath. I just think the companion writing and choices won me over more. Like my top 3 are: 1. Wrath of the Righteous 2. BG3 3. Kingmaker

That's what she describes herself as after her quest in Act V - though it could be that she doesn't fully understand what she is after what happened and is assuming she's fully mortal now. After all, she hasn't physically transformed into a ghaele, gancanagh, or any other type of azata even as she lost the hunger for souls that succubi have. She might just be having an existential crisis as she's now in a position where she can ask these questions rather than it being a problem for future Arueshalae while current Arueshalae is wrestling with keeping her desires in check.

So cool, I'm excited to hear the other performances in the DLC. I would've enjoyed a much longer video with the voice actors, too. It's interesting seeing them perform and repeat lines with different inflections.

Aivu has a voice now?! And the DLC is getting fully voiced as well? This is glad tidings indeed. Characters going mute for most of the game is such a huge immersion breaker

A full voiceover is very expensive. Owlcat is a former Ru studio. Rich studios in the ru segment on pc never existed. They just don't have the money for full voice acting. That's all. PS. As well as testers.

@@user-be9ih8yo6pIncorrect, but true in the past. Owlcat has said multiple times in the wake of baldurs gate 3 how it seems like players really want full vo. Its "the only way for them to become mass market or grow". Recently they finally said that they would have full voice acting for future projects. Owlcat isn't happy about it, but that seems like what theyre doing starting with this dlc. “Looking at BG3, you understand: it is becoming a must-have feature, which doesn’t guarantee you success, but if you don’t meet that bar, your game is considered one that no longer fits into the right category. So it looks like we will have to do a full voiceover for our next games.”-ceo of owlcat

@@miavaughn2393 Larian and Owlcat games are very different, adding full voice acting will divert budget from other aspects of the game that the fans love, or greatly increase the expectation on sales to cover the extra budget. All with the goal of chasing a public that prefers brevity and simplicity which Owlcat games usually don't have. This already happened before with Deadfire. Obsidian took a huge bet chasing Divinity OS 2 formula, and even though the game sold a lot in crpg terms, it was not enough to be considered a commercial success, because of all the extra budget. The game failed to attract the divinity crowd and also displeased old PoE fans. Owlcat should think this thoroughly before chasing the "greater public". Can they really make a game as good and dense as WotR and also fully voiced?

i'm extactic to have the voices expanded, really helps with my Dyslexia. only thing i can say is that i thought Aivu's voice would be more high pitched, there was some sort of echo effect when Vladlena talked, i hope this is part of Aivus voice, sounds prity cool

Awesome, this is looking fantastic. But please Owlcat dont feel pressured to do full voice acting for full games, I know it is a draw to some people but dont forget that it will limit you in what you can write and how much you can add/change later, I think most of your fans would always prefer more good content over full voice acting, doing partial voice acting, the main story and important parts like the companion stories is absolutely perfect, just keep doing what you are doing, I love Pathfinder games as they are.

If only you could voice all the text in your games......at least the main characters and companions......I think in this - big part of success of games like BG3. Take Astarion, for example, the character, in my opinion, is not very pleasant, but the voice actor made him very memorable. You also have a lot of wonderful voice actors, you just need to give them some room to work) Aberald in my heart forever...
