If you have the first clue about what is going on in & around relief stations, you will realise that she was not the only starving child in the area in that period of time. If he turned around in any direction there would have been emaciated a dying people as far as the eye can see. These relief stations or refugee camps frequently have 10,000's of inhabitants all of whom are beyond saving in reality. A journalist's job is not to individually save all those who suffer, but to notify the world & to thereby help to mobilise others to fund support & do something in an organised, concerted way.
