I think they might be doing reshoots or adding an extra episode or two, based on the backlash from TOWL

In TOWL they showed in the background “PPP Exception” not long after Beale told rick that certain people would be evacuated before they did their sweep of the country. So i think the PPP cards were given to people who they were going to spare from their final push to clear the entire country.

That last part of Season 1 really hit home for me... Dixon went to Normandy, and walked back to the beach. As he's walking over there, he comes across his Grandfathers grave, and takes a minute to reflect, all the while, there's zombies popping out all over the grounds... You can feel the irony of the moment for him, as he's Leaving the beach, and having all those walkers coming down after him. Of all of the Spin off's, Darryl's was pretty much the best one I've seen. Some of the stuff was trash, but on the whole, the story had depth, and it felt darker, and more at home in TWD then most of the other trash coming out by these upstart writers that they keep on payroll for some reason.

That ending was so powerful that it finally made me like Daryl. Like it finally gave him depth to me.

With the ones who live being over, the variant walker storyline is the only thing I can hold excitement for. I really hope they keep the variants around otherwise this universe is dead to me :/

Idk, but I've always had this nitpick regarding some fans calling them "variant walkers", when in reality they are more "experiments", rather than the first. "Variant" should be used for those walkers who naturally "evolved", following some changes in the virus within them over time, without human intervention.

I wonder if that's Carol as a prisoner next to the prisoner on the right in the back of the truck! You can see their legs. It would be in Walking Dead fashion for Daryl to look in the back of the truck and Carol pops her head out after she hears his voice.

I have a big problem in one of the teasers Carol is saying Darrel Dixon is the only family I have left what does she that mean...

Maybe Ezekiel died? He was very close to her. Maybe his cancer came back? Maybe that was what Carol tried to say on the radio by "it came back". Makes sense to me :) That's my theory. But then again The One's Live ending basically confirmed that she said "Rick came back", but maybe she wasn't around the time he and Michonne arrived? We'll see :)

Now that we know the CRM are not the main villains for the end stretch of shows we need something/someone to replace them. What I'm hoping now is maybe the damage Daryl and Carol cause in France to Genet, she will unleash the variant walkers on America or even specifically our group. It would be cool for all the different shows and groups to work together toward one and game fight. They're even going to give Negan practically his own army again. I'm hoping the spinoffs aren't all side quests with no connections to the TWD universe. It doesn't mean I won't enjoy them but it's not as exciting for me

My belief currently is that Variants are replacing the CRM as the over arching main villain of the franchise. Which is why Beale hinted at them in the briefing and we’re seeing more and more of them. The CRM was a plan for a world war z type militarized trilogy of movies starring Rick. Once that plan turned into a love story tv show, I believe the scope of the CRM arc drastically changed from a Group that had real and nuanced impact on the dead world at large to “just an evil group who had Rick captive”

@Iletyoulive well for years I've been watching them set up all these connections to the CRM being a bigger threat in the TWD universe and now that is gone and Rick is home. HUGE chapter closed. I want some proper closure to the universe and not just some little side quests stories.

Imagine If morgan was in the back of the truck captured by genet. Could make sense considering they both were looking for rick. Even if not now, it's possible later on he could join the show. Just a theory. I trust them to make these shows great.
