People bagged on Lori so much for getting it on with Shane. I could care less about that. She could have slept with the whole group including Merle. I didn't like the whispering, the way she'd talk to Shane like he still had a shot, then go running to Rick saying basically that he need to kill Shane, then acting all surprised by everything happening that she basically instigated. Shane should leave........ Tells Shane to stay, acts surprised that Shane isn't leaving. Tell Rick they can't trust Shane and he needs to take him out, acts shocked that Rick could kill Shane when he had to in self defense.

she is the worst mother. he is 12 in a zombie infested apocalypse and she looses sight of him ALL the time. he is a child it is not his fault. rick is doing other shit, she is doing nothing but causing problems and can't even be bothered with taking care of her child.

@@maplerrrrr I 100% Agree. Lady Nagant has no idea who he/she is talking about. We’re not saying Lori is an evil person or a horrible human being, but she definitely was being an unfit mother throughout Seasons 1 and 2. Obviously I can show a little sympathy and say she’s only human and we all make mistakes. It’s understandable if there are times when a parent can make a mistake and lose a child but the amount of times Lori wasn’t paying attention to Carl was ridiculous. Especially as Sam-pson Smith stated above “he is 12 in a post apocalyptic world”. Lori should’ve been way more in control and supervised Carl much more. Literally her not paying attention to Carl caused Carl to do these number of things that cost people problems and lives. 1. Wandered in the forest and startled a walker that was feasting on Daryl’s hunted deer. That could have caused him or any group member to get bit or die, not to mention all the yelling he was doing that could’ve attracted more walkers to the camp. 2. Stealing Daryl’s Gun, which could’ve potentially put Daryl in danger had he got surprised by a walker and would’ve reached for gun in his bag only for it not to be there. 3. Moving and aggravating a walker that was able to get to the farm by following Carl’s scent and killed Dale. 4. The amount of times he got out of Lori’s sight (which was mostly everyday on that farm) and meddled in people’s business and disrespected Carol about Sophia and Heaven. 5. Ended up out of Lori’s sight (no surprise there) and ended up going to the barn where Rick was going to execute Randal. Acting like it was something good to watch causing Rick to stop the execution which then lead to Shane setting up Randal’s death and leading Rick out to kill him, which lead Rick into killing Shane. 6. Carl for the millionth time escaping Lori’s view (still no surprise) and thankfully saved Rick from Walker Shane. Probably the only Lori losing Carl moment that had a positive outcome but still morally she could’ve had Carl killed or eaten by zombies by her losing him during the horde ambush at the farm. I mean like I wanted to yell when I saw Carl say to Rick “Dad!!” after Rick was standing over Shane’s body. Thankfully he saved Rick but damn Lori is really bad at watching Carl it’s not even funny or a meme at this point. It’s just sad and scary. Who knows what would have happened if Randal would’ve died when he was supposed to, Shane would’ve helped out during the Farm being overrun, and then possibly causing a close encounter with death to bring the group closer together, or perhaps Shane leaving the group and going elsewhere and returning later, which by much time passing could’ve could of shaded out the beef between Rick and Shane. Maybe Rick or Shane would’ve still eventually tried to kill each other but at least there would’ve been some hope if the Randal setup didn’t occur. Who knows what experience they would have faced if Shane was still around to either resolve or worsen their situation. Anyhow Carl just caused way to many domino effects and that’s not even past the first 2 seasons but this is just all the stuff he did innocently as a child and so for that it really falls on the blame of Lori for being an unfit mother. Not to mention her little upset episode she did to Rick after he told her the full story of what happened in that field between him and Shane was just more messed up and pissed me off more.

He kept the group alive though

A scene that was deleted for the start of Season 2 showed the group checking back in before they left Atlanta, but found the site overrun with walkers and the people shot in the head. Sean H ..Still didn't give her right though. Rick had no control over that. She would have realised this if she communicated better with Rick instead of immediately putting the blame on him. If she also payed more attention to her son, instead of letting others do it for her, then maybe Carl wouldn't have been out there. Giving Rick a hard time over something like that, knowing what it took to kill his best friend, was beyond foul of Lori.

She warned him about Shane and about him being dangerous. She may have implied that he may have needed to possibly do it, but it's another thing for it to actually happen. Like I said, she may have been pissed at him, but it was more about the situation, especially with her son being involved. He just dropped a bomb after bomb in her lap. The stupid thing would be if she would have been still tripping about it later on when it was him that was being petty about it and holding a grudge...

Ash Lee Can I never HATED Lori I just didn't agree with her choices. She could've handled the Rick and Shane situation a lot better. Like when Rick took Shane and Randal 15 miles out (or whatever number that was lol) and Rick had that talk with Shane, I thought that was a very smart move on Ricks part. Lori should've done the same thing but kept her feelings for Shane bottled up so she didn't lead him on like she did when Shane was fixing the windmill. But that's just my two cents on the situation.

Yes!! Agree so much. Her reaction was totally normal and I never took it that she was angry but more shocked.

At the end of the day she knew Rick was in pain for having to kill his bestfriend and instead of consoling him in his moment of need (the same way he eventually consoled her on the side of the road when he found out she was pregnant and had just tried a secret abortion) she thought of her own feelings instead. Classic Lori. She didn't have the right to put herself and her feelings first; aside from rick and shane themselves she was the one most responsible for putting these friends on a collision course. Nor could she be upset about Carl having to put down Shane; that was her fault too. If Rick and the other guys are out leading a search party for a man suspected to be dangerous to their group, who should be watching after carl so that he doesn't end up in a dangerous situation? His _fucking_ mother. After losing track of carl for like the 8th time since the series started she's upset that he killed a walker and that rick defended himself? She spent way too much time up on that high horse and the last months of her life were a fitting comeuppance. But, I don't hate Lori its how her character is designed; she's just as bad in the comics. At least TV Lori redeemed herself a bit in death.

I'm not talking about myself. I'm talking about Lori. So what if she finally came to the conclusion that she may have felt something after all? Just because she finally came to grips about her feelings didn't mean she had to go and tell Shane about it. Especially after she already reacted to her feelings and basically bated Rick to defend the family at all costs. She's a big girl that needs to learn to choose her battles . Even in the flashbacks there's evidence of her not being able to pick them wisely. That's what I mean.
