A promo scene from the script of The War At Home - here we see an RNZAF P-3K Orion patrolling the Hauraki Gulf near Auckland, New Zealand. Encountering a Soviet Sub in their waters, they hit them.
Starring Cohen Holloway, Josh Thomson, Sophia Johnson, Millen Baird, Jay Simon, Karl Burnett, Glen Levy, Sam Bunkall and Ben Fransham. Music by Chris Hurn. Great stuff. On 14 June 1989, the New Zealand Battalion in Singapore was in the middle of Exercise Taiaha Tombak X, its last major exercise prior to its return to New Zealand. It will be interesting to see how you write-in in the Singapore Battalion into your story.

Nice job. Sing out of you would like to know the actual calls used on the aircraft, such as 'pilot, turn right heading 034' and 'bomb bay doors open, master arm on..weapon away now..now..now! Status lights out, master arm off, bomb bay doors close. ( door and MA steps repeated by FE as they are the one flicking switches). Just little things like that. But yea cool. Ex P-3 FE ;)

#1 how did they manage to get our 25yo vintage up and going ... #2 This is New Zealand... We would have dropped a single letter (so as not to be seen to be polluting the Pacific... with a note giving a stern warning that if the occupants of the submarine do not leave our waters withing the next month... another letter, with an even more stern request will be posted to the editor of the local community paper advising that we will definitely look into preparing a bus ticket with the purest tap water available in cast drastic actions may be needed.

Lmao! Here's hoping that mentality at least begins to fade with our new gov. Fingers crossed. 1) the story is set in an alternate 1989 2) in this timeline world events are a bit more threatening, a war between the USSR and NATO has already broken out abroad and things have gone a bit dog eat dog mentality. Also the base commander at Whenuapai may have exceeded his orders. It's all in the full episodes 😉

Really can't wait to see our 1st Regiment in the fighting. SAS vs Spetsnaz, who would win? Guessing the SAS would be kept for defence though.

@@TheWarAtHome Really dope story telling though. And did enjoy this clip too, whilst these boys questioned it, you know our command wouldn't turn their backs on the Aussies after hearing they were attacked.
