The final scene where all the souls he saved placed stones on his gravestone. There's no words for it and it broke me way down. The ultimate gratitude, respect and love they have for this man. He lived such a rough life afterwards having given so many others a life at all. As flawed as he was, he never let the Nazis turn his heart to iron.

Even though the Allies had reports on these camps, they couldn't believe that a so called 'Civilized' country could do this. I had an Uncle in the British army, his unit was one of first to enter one of camps, he would never talk about it and if he smelt burning fat it would make him sick. These younger generations cannot comprehend that barbarity like this can happen, the 'DELIBARATE' decision to try to wipe an entire culture that does not equate to yours! They see the 'casualties' caused by bombings and physical violance and can 'vagually' understand it.

Schindler WAS, heart and soul, a moderately slimy businessman at the start of the war. But under the very real layer of a moderately slimy businessman, were moral boundaries of what he would and would NOT do. Those moral boundaries were set in steel that few people can match.

It’s a great opportunity to see this as the propaganda that it is. You have a great attitude about seeing this. A couple of years before this, these people kidnapped German children and nailed them to the walls of the city in the middle of the night. They sort of forget to tell the world that about this reaction to her people that were living freely in Germany and supported to thrive. Killing German children and trying to take over the German banking system has consequences. None of which I agree with or support. It’s just what happened. And these German Patriots responded in kind.
