I can tell where I was (local bar) the day (one sunny Sunday afternoon), what I was drinking (Camden hells) and who I was with (my beautiful wife). It felt like everyone fell silent for those minutes. ♥️

I remember hearing this song for the first time. It was at a party where I knew almost nobody. Most people were stoned AF but I was fully sober. When this song came on we were sitting outside and heard this song on the background, we just sat there listening and I think that moment will stay with me for a long while.

Adam Granduciel is a true genius when it comes to layering all the instruments in a song.He tinkers with lyric and melody until he thinks it is perfect and by God he gets it right just about every time! This is the song and performance that hooked me 3 years ago..found them by accident because KZfaq plugged in similar artists

I took my mom to a WOD show. They closed the festival, and punctuated the weekend with total grace and feel. I listened to the band through my own ears, also tried to conceptualize what my mother was feeling. This was an epic experience, to put it mildly. Thanks War on Drugs: an absolutely moving performance from empathetic artist. Thanks.

I used to listen to the radio as a kid in bed. Finger on the volume knob. The 70s 80s .. Am/Fm radio. Dreamscapes on the edge of sleeping .. canyons and peaks .. heard Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin. One night the DJ played the entire Tangerine Dream "Ricochet" album. I was ten at the time. I hadn't even kissed a girl. I am there now .. reaching for the volume knob.

I can't really put my finger on it as to why this song is sooo damn good. Perhaps it has all the right ingredients. Usually when I listen to a long song, 10+ minutes, I'll know, I'm aware while listening right, but this song, it has you so involved that you loose yourself. If someone would of told me it's 11 mins long, I wouldn't believe them.

It was back in Little Bend that I saw you Light was changing on the water Where birds above had flown There was pain in your eyes So you vanished in the night Missouri River in the distance So I lied upon the lawn I remember walking against the darkness of the beach Love is like a ghost in the distance, out of reach Travel through the night 'cause there is no fear Alone but right behind, until I watched you disappear I'm moving through the dark Of a long black night Just moving with the moon And the light it shines And I'm thinking of a place And it feels so very real Just moving through the dark Once I had a dream I was falling from the sky Coming down like running water Passing by myself in light In the morning, I would wake To the sound of someone's voice Like little whispers through the silence I'm moving through the dark Of a long black night I'm looking at the moon And the light it shines But I'm thinking of a place And it feels so very real Oh, sufferer of love Come and take my hand, babe There's a turn in the road that we've been taking Let it set you free 'Cause there's a rhythm in the way that we've been moving Yeah, there's a darkness over there, but we ain't going See it through my eyes Walk me to the water Hold my hand as something turns to me Love me every night Drown me in the water Hold my hand, is something turning me? See it through my eyes Love me like no other And hold my hand as something turns to me And turns me into you Lead me through tonight Pull me from the water Hold my hand as something turns to me Turns me into you Just see it through my eyes Love me like no other Hold my hand as something turns to me Turns me into you Turning me into you

Today I went to the funeral of a 20 year old boy. He died a week ago while being hid by a car. My daughter and that 20 year old boy were very close. During the funeral, the boy's favorit music was played. This song was one of them. I was very much touched by it. Hundreds of people were at the funeral and because of the fact that there were so many people, the greeting of the coffin took a long time. I heard that song 3 time. I had never heard the song before and I took my phone and used Shazam app in order to know the title of the song. It will always remember me of that boy who still had a whole life to go. He had such a nice character and we all will mis him a lot😢

I grew up in the 80s and for some bizarre reason their music brings me back to when times were so much more simple and we hung out with friends by lakes and in parks during the long summer days just talking and hanging out. Thanks TWOD for these feelings. Forever grateful.

This song and this album are my favorites of 2017. I'm so impressed with the live production and that it holds up so well to the studio version. There's something about this song that touches me deep in my soul. I haven't connected like this with a song in years.

I love, love, love this song the first second I heard it , sounds new but yet it has an old time kinda familiar song. It took me back to a time when we had been up all night an early summer morning warm getting warmer . This was back in 1977 we went to a stripping hole that had blueish, green water it was beautiful . We had a blanket and we laid it out on the rocks above and just hung out there watching the sun rise and looking out over the water. It was one of a few really good memories I had from back then . This song is beautiful. And I like that it is long not one of these 3 min. 1234 bam bam Bam bam . I do like those kind of songs . But there's not enough songs like this. Led Zeppelin , pink Floyd , bob Dylan. All rolled up into one!!!
