I did a small job of a kitchen repair a couple years ago the customer told me he was getting a new roof, looking around I did not see any water damage so I ask the question how are you getting a free roof replacement. He said a roof salesman said just sign here we sue the insurance company and claim your home has roof damage which it did not, people will take advantage of anything free. At HomeDepot today I notice a hotdog vendor that had a couple customers, if his sign read " Free Hotdogs " the whole parking lot would have rushed him for free stuff.
