They said in the latest interview with Allison Hagendorf a couple days ago that they will be playing on the main stage at the MTV VMA;s this year in about a month or so. Looking forward to that.

Finally they're on a national platform where they get the exposure they deserve.

Thanks for confirming Ale is probably "average" height while Pau and Dani are tiny fireballs. Those Spector basses are serious powerhouses with an inch longer scale length than the standard Fender bass. The Spector body size is "compact". Ale's tone is quintessential rock and their songs demand it.

They said in an interview the other night that at the next mtv awards show., cannot remember if it is the 2025 video awards, they will be performing on the Main Stage instead of the small side stage.

Actually the warning and alessia caras version was featured in an episode of the imperfects on Netflix. They played it at the end of episode 8

Seems that on TV Ale's singing comes thru in the mix. So, Lalo is not bringing Ale's mic level up enough in concerts. Size wise, yes they are small framed. Even Ale told her sisters ' no I'm not tall, you guys are just short'. :)

Ale has said that she is 1.70m. right at 5'7" one of them has said that Pau is 1.52m. just a hair under 5'0" by comparison, I would put Dany at 5'3" or 1.60m Yes, I recall seeing them in person for the first time and realizing that they are much smaller stature than I expected. As Lizzy Hale said in her interview with Matt Pinfield "Tiny and fierce!!"

I miss the days when the host of a late night show would actually talk to the musical guest(s). Carson did, Arsenio did, and Leno did - for a while. Now unless you’re a superstar, you get one song and you’re off.

The laptop that runs the in-ears, click track, backing tracks also syncs to the video...the click track is also an SMPTE encoded interface for video... I know at one time Dany's Kemper was also switched via the MIDI signal from the laptop but I believe they don't use that anymore and her guitar tech does it from his station...

Yeah. For TV which is obviously visual and people at home are sitting on couches they need to tame it down a little to get cameras squarely on their faces which is what you want. Too much energy moving around and head banging would make it hard to capture their personas with closeups. They are all three very photogenic so I think they, once again, did what was needed.

To bad Pau and Ale did not get much camera time. Pau got the least. The camera mostly focused on Dani singing.

Dani did not look nervous to me she looked full on rock star.. but Pau was ignored in the back😔

When Dany plays the Stratocaster and Explorer guitars you can see she is tiny, not so much with the smaller bodied PRS on this performance.

Ale might be 5'6" at most. Dani 5'2" and Pau maybe 5' or 4'11"

This performance struck me as a bit of a step down. Comparing it to other recordings, what stands out is that Pau does fewer tom fills. I don't think her kit is arranged as it was at the Whiskey, but I can't swear otherwise; among others, there's one cymbal more aggressively tilted than she likes. I got the impression that she was irked by something. One possibility is that the show altered their setup in some ways. Another is the next big danger I foresee for them, that the American media really loves to pick out one member of the band to feature and everyone else is background, which is how the media destroyed the Bangles. Anyone who fiddles with their preferences, in any way, is someone daubing different paint onto a Rembrandt to "improve" it. Anyway, they still did well, but I thought it was a bit off, and expect this was due to outside interference rather than nerves.

The music video really pulls in the viewer.

You do know the producer of this album is not liked by many fans. In interviews around 6 months ago and a just released magazine interview they say they had a list of producers and were turned down by all of them. They then asked Anton because he did some songwriting with them. In one of the interviews they said they settled on him. Not a glowing endorsement. David Bendeth got their live sound Delost does not.

I think the clothes of Dany and Pau (dresses, skirt) didn´t help to get in the mood at the beggining of the song. It is very rare that they use those while performing (i only remember some presentations at the very start of their carrers).

I think that HYCAD would have been a better choice. In this song and AS, Dany is tied to the guitar and microphone stand, whereas she goes full blast when she can tear the microphone off the stand and engage the audience. Pau looks disengaged here.

The Ellen show was their first US television appearance back in 2015 (?). Most of this show was really lame, and it’s too bad they only broadcast 1 song at the end. Curious if they played more songs for the studio audience after the show ended.

The comedy bits sucked. Martin Short has better characters. This guy is not one of them. But DPA were the highlight of the show! 👍

IIRC, Ale is 5'6", Dany is 5'3", and Pau is 5'0".

What happened to our sound engineer, and what happened to Pau's drums? Apparently they didn't feel comfortable, just seeing Pau's face is enough to understand that they didn't like the sound they were offered, it's a shame, they would have taken more advantage of this presentation.
