I have had the great honor to see these young ladies twice, standing very near where you were in relation to the stage, I can honestly say it is an experience everyone should do. I do feel though, that there will be very few opportunities to do so ever again. They are destined to fill stadiums. And for all the work they have put into this, they deserve nothing short of world domination. LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!

I was front row at a Metallica concert 1990 as a teen and my ears were ringing for 4 days. I vowed never to go without after then but, of course, I forgot earplugs for front row Dream Theater 2007. The music is loud, of course, but the audience screaming behind is always the most painful. Wear your hearing protection, kids!

Wow - you're lucky. I had also the pleasure to experience Ale playing her spector right in front of me on their concert in the metropol in berlin. Fortunately I'm a little more experienced as it seems - so I had earplugs to reduce the pressure on the ears. To be precise, I have several different earplugs with me when going on concerts ;-) After finding the right setup of noise reduction , you have the chance to explore this soundgalaxy of these three outstanding musiscians. And then Ale - This magic instrument played by this magic musician is an experience of it's own.... she plays it so precise and the bass sounds so clean and raw at the same time. You feel the earthquake beneath your feet caused by Ale and her five string Spector.

I wasn't that far behind you on Ale's side; maybe 8 feet. So, I was really close as well. From there, to me, it was a perfect volume - loud but not too loud or uncomfortably loud. It was actually crystal clear but ABSOLUTELY THUNDEROUS; especially Pau's drums. (I've been a drummer my entire life, so THAT was Heavenly for me!). Also, I must tell you that I performed professionally live on stage and in recording studios with headphones on for decades and have about 30% hearing loss in both ears. That's probably why I can easily tolerate loud volumes. 😂 It was my third time seeing The Warning - the second time within ten feet of the stage - and I'd have to say it was THE BEST sound quality I've heard so far. I'm sorry that it was too loud for your ears. Again, not being far behind you, I thought it was perfect.

🗣 Otra! Otra! Otra! I always bring some tissue just in case (I've only used them once). Earplugs are too much. They usually have/offer some right after they scan your ticket. I put them in once and pulled them right out. Pomona will be my 12th TW show and the following night VIP M&G in LA will be my 13th. I tell people that they are LOUD for sure. I am jumping in the shower now then driving down from Fresno to meet (my 5th time) them in Long Beach at Fingerprints Music record store for their KMF album release signing. Agree on the earplugs. The first time I saw them in a really small venue, I made it about half way through their set and I noticed that Dany’s voice sounded like she breathed helium, so I put in my concert earplugs (earplugs with small holes to suppress the level of sound without actually muffling it), and it was much more enjoyable. Sounds like you had a great experience. 😎👍

I will see them in Atlanta in late September. I will pack earplugs. But I knew to do that. I saw around 120 concerts as a teen/20-something in the 1960s-'70s. I wore earplugs at some of them. KANSAS was the worst. They played in the gym at Davidson College for homecoming. Most of us left soon after they started, because they were so painfully loud, earplugs were worthless! I heard their last song in my dorm room, which was next to the gym. It sounded good there... I learned over the years that the worst seats in the house to HEAR a band are in the first 30 feet from the stage. The best sound is always near the sound board, which is usually at or near the back of the house in the center of the venue. Bonus is that those seats are usually less expensive. But you were right to stay where you were and get that experience! I can't wait to see the Warning and meet some TWA folks in Atlanta.

I'm so happy for you! For whatever it's worth, you have joined a very small club; those who have seen The Warning at The Whisky. Regardless of the opinions of some, The Whisky a Go Go is, arguably, one of the most famous night clubs in the world. Just to have seen a show there is something to treasure. To have that show be The Warning? Sublime! I was fortunate to also see The Warning, for the first time, at The Whisky. It was a private show, in January of 2019, the one where they filmed the "Atlas Rise" cover. It remains the best show I've ever seen and thanks to TWA, the coolest few day event of my life. (aside from my honeymoon😊) I flew from CT to attend, and joined TWA from around the world to behold the magic. Keep rockin'!

I was there that night, Boden. You're right, it was a once in a lifetime experience and it was awesome! When you panned to your right near the beginning of the concert, I was one of the taller folks with male patterned baldness standing behind the guy with the bright yellow shirt. I was closer to the center of the stage, so right in front of Pau. I loved seeing Evolve live as well and Pau's scream. The main thing that I took away from the concert though was the showwomanship of Dany. I've watched a few concert videos including the MTV one and even then I don't think it fully captures her stage presence and how well she connects with the crowd. I look forward to running into you at Aftershock. I'm actually going to go see them in Pittsburgh, PA because it's on the way to another family event. Anyway, Rock On!

I've been going to rock concerts for almost fifty years and have yet to do any one of your three suggestions. Of course, for the majority of that time there were no cell phones, and no one ever got wanded for anything. All they did was check for bottles and drugs. The closest I've ever been to the action was about the same place you were for The Warning. I too watched Ale's fingers and felt the sound on my chest. She is one cool customer. I wish she'd go back to moving the way that she used to, but I'll get over it.

I was _gently_ amused at your observations, being a veteran of several dozens of rock concerts, including being pressed up right against the stage barriers (including the US Festival in '83, which was... an experience from about 20' away from the stage). My "pro tips" to people attending these sort of concerts for the first time is DON'T get right in front. Try to position yourself in the middle of the venue, wherever that may be - the sound will generally be tuned to focus on that point, and you'll get the best performance presentation. Ear protection is probably advisable, but if your ears are already shot like mine (years exposed to Air Force fighter and bomber engines), just keep your distance from the very front and you'll be OK. I'm glad you had a great time, and I wish I was there, but ce'st la vie. I've seen them live before, and I will certainly see them again sooner rather than later. But my main point I wanted to get across was to *prepare* for a hard rock concert when you go; it is indeed a "sensation" sort of experience, in addition to "musical" - people like Ale will churn your guts into mush up close, no doubt. No matter what band you see, the effects - at least in the potential - will be the same. Placement, comfort, and preparation will make it a fantastic and enjoyable experience. 😁

@@Bodenmaddox Yes, and why do you recommend then to bring a charger with and to take care of the phone batteries? You do not need that, if you listen and enjoy the show. You support the bad habit of filming the concert with a smartphone the whole time. It is disgusting to be surrounded by a sea of smartphone displays unable to watch the scenery on stage. Your advice should have been instead: 1. Please let your smartphone in your pocket, 2. Minimize the use of your smartphone for some photo shots during the performance, 3. Do not use flash lights for your photos, 4. Empty your pockets, 5. Use ear plugs, 6. Be always WARNED by The Warning.

Because phones are used for many things other than filming. Before and after the performance, checking with friends and family, taking pictures and video of other fans for sharing later, using it to find your way to your hotel with Google Maps... and more. Please stop being a jerk. I filmed a tiny portion of the show so that I could share it with others not there and enjoyed the rest without holding my phone. That's my choice and I would never, ever be so rude as to tell someone how to enjoy their experience.
