This is a crazy long one. 1. Resign Klay for 18-23 mil a year. He’s a bench player now but we know what he can bring offensively when he’s hot (emphasis on WHEN he’s hot) 2. Trade Podz+Wiggins for Kyle kuzma and cap filler. Podz looks like a true vocal leader and he may be able to change the culture in Washington with Poole and Wiggins known to play better together. (We might be able to do 1 for 1 trade with Wiggins for kuzma, if so forget the tyus jones part) 3. Try to nab Tyus jones and Isaiah Hartenstein. You’re cutting it close to the apron but Tyus isn’t going for more than 18 and neither will I.Hartenstein. 4. Bench Dray for kuzma and allow him to work with Klay off the bench and create for him. Steph doesn’t need Draymond to score and Steph needs to adjust in his old age and facilitate more when needed. Also as true punishment for dray’s behavior costing the team these past two years. 5. Moody and Kuminga will start the sg and sf positions. They can defend at a high level (Kuminga when engaged) and have shown the ability to score on their own. Trust that they can make further strides in their development to help Steph next year. 6. If everything goes well, You have a starting lineup of Steph-moody-Kuminga-kuzma-Trayce/hartenstein Bench: jones-Klay-gp2-dray-Trayce/I.Hart Looney can get minutes potentially but he should try to commit to a Mo Speights role to help space the floor off the bench if we can’t get Hart in FA.
