Ik from an outside perspective it looks bleak but I havent been this happy since 2016. This is the first time in about 8 years we havent been stuck in that 10-7 seed purgatory. We get swept in the first round and a late first or none for trying to trade for win now pieces. We finally committed to the tank and have assests like deni, bilal, vuk. And assests like kuzma who is on one of the best contracts in the league and tyus jones who can get us picks. We have chances to get guys like sarr, flagg, and harper. i think we are in a great spot. I see the vision, the pain will end soon for us

Aye man I wish the best for ya I really do haha. I truly hope you’re right. I probably have more of an inside perspective than you might know though haha (I can explain if you’re curious). Deni is solid, Bilal has potential, Vuk we have seen very little of so I don’t know but this team has never really developed any talent before. They have no idea what the coaching staff is going to be and the ownership is nuts. Also Tyus is a free agent now and Kuzma is a good player but most teams don’t wanna touch him. Seriously though that’s just my opinion (which again I have quite the inside look but hell I’m not there so you never know) and I want nothing more than this team to start getting better. DC fans deserve it, and true at least it isn’t the middle! The middle is the worst haha.

I see below you said you have a connection at the Wizards. Well yesterday they fired several staff members. More then likely Wes Unseld Jr staff so your connection is probably gone! 😅 Word was the players were very unhappy with Wes, but the new leadership was told at the start they couldn't fire him right away. Brian Keefe the interim coach came with Michael Winger and Will Dawkins. You probably need to check out their year end exit interview on KZfaq. Tyus Jones DID say he wanted to return next season and wants to start at PG. Problem is, Jordan Poole started at PG in Tyus' place the last 25 or so games of the season and did really well. After the change Poole's average jumped to 20ppg, and 5 assists. In his last 10 games his average jumped again to 23ppg, 8 assists and 4.5 rebounds! Leadership wasn't expecting that and was asked how are they going to decide who should start at point next year. Winger, The President become very uncomfortable during the discussion because Tyus made it clear he wants to stay and start at PG and originally they told him they wanted him back BUT that was before Poole took off in the position. . Poole has 3 years left with $94 million on his contract so they're going to have to start him plus again they got better with him leading.

Yeah I heard the staff was gonna go a couple days ago. One of my connections was one of those people unfortunately, hate to see it but they saw it coming. Luckily my best connections are actually players on the team. I coached one and played AAU with another growing up so I’m pretty tight with them. The stories I have heard from them this year are wild, I truly think it’s them and Charlotte for the hardest franchises to succeed in. I know what you are talking about with what Tyus said but the PR is real with this stuff haha. I’ll just say, he wants money and PT. Washington might be the only capable of both so maybe he ends up there but I promise you he did not enjoy himself 😅. Man I hope Poole can really get it going next year. Definitely a solid end of the year but they need to change a lot on that staff/front office/roster to do so. You a Wizards fan? Seems like you are really tuned in to watching all their stuff! Also apologies I’m not more specific with my “connections” I just don’t wanna associate people with my stuff.

I feel like Tyus could start at PG but Jordan Poole subs in for him early and plays about 30MPG. Tyus might play like 28MPG and they can play about 10MPG together

It seems like Poole will be the pg moving forward due to how he and the team did so much better when he moved took over as the starting pg so that will change who we go after in the offseason.

Yeah I bet that is a thought they are having. The PG market is free agency is next to nothing and at least I don’t think it looks great in the draft so you might have to out of necessity if nothing else. Maybe they pay Tyus to come back but I just don’t know.

Zero chance Stephon Castle is available so late. It's obv. a top-10 pick and Ringer has him at #1. I don't think he's top 3 but come on...

Butler and Vukcevic have unguaranteed contracts too. The Wizards will probably keep them. Tyus Jones wants to stay. Poole probably will play pg, and Deni can play this position too. they will probably sign some of their second round draft picks (i think they have 3)

I don’t know about Butler but Vuk for sure. I don’t know if I would say Tyus wants to stay either lol. This team could very well be extremely young next year cuz you’re right they have a few 2nds.

@@_AVC_ Tyus said that he is happy in DC and he preffer to be a starter then second pg in a winning team. Butler had some good games in the end of the season and he at least a solid third pg and he has the potential to be even second pg, therefore the wizards will probably keep him (they have club option on 25-6 season too). Anthony Gill probably will sign a minimum contract too (a positive veteran). trade on Shamet unguaranteed contract may happen, but i think it will be with a team that want to clear their cap space.

@@user-sl1xk5jt3m No yeah I know he said that to the media so you are correct about that, I just have a personal connection there and will say it might be different on the inside. I could see all those moves happening for sure. I also don’t know how much that front office cares about developing non impact player talent right now. That’s usually a final step in the process. That organization is wild though so it’s hard to say what the plan is haha.

@@_AVC_ By the way not sure about the rules, but i think like Shamet they can trade Johnny Davies, Patrick Baldwin and all the others unguaranteed contracts (more then 20 milions in this contracts). The Wizards was a bad organisation. Maybe the new management can change it but probably their scouts ability still in process meaning maybe they should trust on others in this area. There are sone second round draft picks players that haven't been signed for a lot of reasons and they can be solid players and their rights can be traded easily (Great and solid players like Marc Gasol or Luis Scola were in this situation, most of this players are foreigners).

@@user-sl1xk5jt3m Not quite sure what you mean with the trade stuff. Hard to say with the new organization. Washington is probably one of the places I am most connected to. They say it was pandemonium there this year and I think it’s mostly the ownership group. Hard in the first year of a new regime but for lack of a better term the players there did not feel like they had a great chance at success this year.
