I buy a lot on eBay for reselling so i should be able to help you out in a big way for sure! As long as I remember to do this haha. I spend around 4-5k a month or more on average each month on eBay so the kickbacks should start coming just purchased 2 items for 130 bucks so it starts now haha.

@@GetTheGreg if I send you a list of games I’m going to get graded can you let me know which ones I would be better off sending to heritage I’ve never sent anything to them before and based on recent sales of a lot of games I don’t want to take a bath on them. My submission is manly ps2 games but I have some that may do good like 1St print kingdoms hearts 1 mine craft xbox 360 2 day live etc etc.

I will say though, some of my answers will likely depend on the grade of the game, so it will be a bit hard to advise until you have the actual grades back!

Totally speculative tinfoil: first wave of high grade games were the insiders and early adopters with their super nice stuff, then second wave were more crossovers of high grade vga of people at-large looking to sell.

I believe it tbh... Deniz said this typeo f thing in an inteview from a year or two ago. Less about condition and moreso about folks bringing their super rare stuff. Stadium events, NWC carts, and rare sealed NES. Wouldn't surprise me at all if folks started bringing over all their good stuff when they realized wata was commanding the market during 2019/2020.

I honestly don’t think I can trust Wata grades. I sent off a bunch of games to them last year. One of them I know had three noticeable holes in the wrap and got a 9.8 A+. Whereas another game, that had never left it’s container box until I sent it to Wata, was in absolutely perfect condition and got a 9.4 A. Even someone who isn’t an expert would be able to glance at these games and tell you which one was in better condition. I’d rather get a lower grade, but they’re absolutely consistent across the board than a higher grade and not be able to trust what I’m buying.

Not to ask what may be a stupid question, but is it at all odd that the first *three and a half years* of WATA grading produced 7,899 NES grades, and then the next 120 days increased that 3.5-year total by a whopping *31%*? Do we really believe that the pace of grading has picked up this significantly over the last 120 days (especially given that the pace was so frantic already, in the first three and a half years WATA was in operation, that it had a year-long backlog)? Or is the more likely explanation that the first population report in 2021 was a rushed and incomplete affair that didn’t actually reflect the data through 11/1/21 like it said? I am just having difficulty squaring the size of these respective population reports, otherwise. As ever, amazing work and analysis, Greg!

Wow, I actually didn't realize the jump in 4 months was so substantial % wise. My best guess would be that they rushed through a TON of backlog these past 4 months, but really, it's up in the air as to why the past 4 months have been so substantial. I'm glad you pointed that out!

I never would have conceived that 9.6 would be considered "investment grade" for your average NES game.

Only if it's the highest grade for said game at the time I guess?

Maybe the new 9.6s are crosses from VGA

If anyone is interested someone just posted a 9.8 A+ near perfect grade of silent hill 2 GH version for less then 1k the raw ones go for 900 and up so if your looking for a quick flip I think this one would sell for 2k or send to heritage prolly sell for 2500 idk I’d buy it if I wasn’t sending in 26 games to get graded that one costing me almost 3k. To send in lol but I have a Minecraft 2 DAY live in that order on warp zone lol

@@super_junk to me it’s a steal! I seriously have a 3k order going out or I would have purchased it. Call it a risk but with there’s is risk there is reward. My listing is for 800 on eBay raw and only at that because it has rips or id be higher then the 9.8 lol that just got posted in the last day or so. Id jump on it before someone else does. A 9.4 is 1k and a 9.6 is 1799 so to pay 800 less for the near perfect grade I think the seller is STUPID LMAO!
