The negative comments are surprising/not surprising. It’s a two minute happy little time, Mike’s smile is infectious, the last few seconds are a so perfectly created and in the perfect spot and then black: it’s over, was that so painful? No! It was catchy and cute and if nothing else it’s divisive and how fun is that!? Lots of.

Smile looks goofy to me but the blended backing singer chorus works. Will blackberry license the tune?

Look its a happy clappy number. Could be used in a TV show introducing a breezy character or an advert for new formula blackberry. It's more of a solo Mike fun project than rocking waterboys. Not mad about the goofy smile but at least Mike is enjoying the lighter side of music. Enjoyable listen.

Reminds me quite a lot of 'Never known a girl like you before' by Edwyn Collins .....which was a great song...definitely not average like this.

I wonder if Mike Scott and crew have already written a check out to Sanders / Kupferberg and the band “ The Fugs” because this sounds pretty spot on a copy of “C.I.A. Man “ , just at a faster pace musically, and singing about a girl instead.

This absolutely STINKS ... BLACKBERRY GIRL....even just saying it as words doesnt sound good ... how can you write spirit and then also blackberry girl .... i wonder if like the rest of the world the 80s music is also fake i bet it was some fat prussian who really wrote all the waterboys good stuff
