The mom cat restricts the kitten .. she knocks kitten off with licks, she sleeps on the kitten, and puts the kitten between her legs … this is not normal. I would never have done that to my kids, especially when they were babies. This is not normal. And the blanket needs to be straightened out so Kiki can roll over easier.

The relationship is pure oxytocin. Cats do not feel human emotions, no matter how many hearts and flowers you imagine you see.

@@inalorek8225 a couple of years ago I tried to adopt a three-year-old male that was turned in by its family. This was a year so after my Bengal cat died. He was so aggressive. He tore up everything. He would swat me so hard he would cut so deep. If he bit it would require stitches. He got to the point where he would just look at me and start peeing everywhere. The rescue organization was very disreputable. They would not return my phone calls or help me out. My cousin lives on a farm so we had to turn him into a barn cat.

@@janicecastellanos8091 babies of all description do breathe faster and their heart beats faster but it seems too obvious with Kiki. I do hope it settles and she's ok.

My only 'concern' as to what might be ' wrong' with Kiki at this stage of her growth is that some are trying their best to fret over nothing with Kiki. Zip. Nada, Truly. When you have a newborn human, it's pretty much the same ritual in care --- eating, sleeping, crying, pooping and peeing while the human family looks, smiles, laughs and loves..and don't leave out they are totally exhausted. Just like Mimi looked -- she's just now resting better and her affect is calmer.. you can tell by her fur, primarily. After being lucky to have pussycats in my life for 52 years of my 73 years on this planet thus far, there are certain subtle changes and signs that you notice when they're with you in calmer and gentler moments. It's not truly self-evident in any photo or video. [You know when a pet is in high stress or is sick... when you see in photos from around the world of a fireman rescuing a poor kitty cat or a dog from a fire or a bad mess. . And the poor animal is so stressed and frightened you believe you could touch your screen and feel the terror.]. So all of this is to say that Kiki s fine. Mom is fine. Daddy is fine. And for that we have great joy. So maybe on this Monday we could take some of this feeling of love and joy that we have in our hearts and step outside of our front door and go help someone that maybe isn't feeling much joy today. Maybe has some serious sorrow. We give them some of our joy and when we do that, it reduces their pain and sorrow in the other too. That's the plan anyway. Just a thought this Monday morning. Today is the second day of the hearings in the United States over the insurrection/coup attempt by an evil man that's encouraged the evil to come out of others. It seems that maybe they have a lot of pain and sorrow and didn't have someone that stepped up to help them understand they were loved. Just like we love Kiki and family. And it's very difficult for those of us that saw it for what it was. So I'm trying to muster up my own sense of joy today and not be in fear. So on that strange and weird confession, I wish all of you peace, blessings and safety wherever you are in the world. And I absolutely love that no matter what language a response is being typed in I can translate it to English and smile and say it makes me feel closer to all of you. Thank you.
