I've seen it said before but Dasha absolutely needs to watch 50 First Dates. It's the ultimate movie about true love. As far as Dasha getting married one day she's wonderful and amazing so I have no doubt some guy will want to marry her.

For me , this was a nostalgia trip. Having lived through the 1980s, I was able to understand all all the 80s references. For instance, Glen was often wearing outfits made famous by Miami Vice, a popular show at the time. And Robbie's Material Girl comment was from a line in a Madonna song.

I'm glad Julia wanting to stay with Glen didn't make sense to you, because it says something about how far women have come since this movie was made. It used to be much more the case that women were defined by their relationships and how successful a partner they could end up with, so there was a lot of pressure on women to marry for reasons other than for love. You can see it in her mom's reaction when she tells her that she's in love with Robbie. That's why Julia is so conflicted about whether to stay with Glen or not, and why she rushes it with him when feeling heartbroken. These days it's much more acceptable for women to be successful on their own and not be defined by marriage and their relationships, which allows them to partner for love and not for security or from societal pressure.

A lot of things in movies don’t make sense in real life. Sometimes that translates nicely to an escape from the real world, but sometimes it just leaves you thinking, “Really? C’mon.” I personally didn’t feel that way about anything in this movie because I was too busy being charmed. But I also think Julia’s decision to elope with Glenn was just trying to put a band-aid on an emotional ouchie. I think that’s pretty realistic. Not healthy, but realistic, to me. Thanks for sharing, Dasha!

Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore made some really good films together...great chemistry. Hes always got this great humor & loads up the soundtrack with 80s tunes! Add the cameo by Billy Idol & this is a fun watch! (Be sure to check out "50 First Dates", it's even better😊)

I can relate to Adam Sandler movie characters a lot, the temper in Happy Gilmore, the pain of divorce, looking after a young son while the world gives you a hard time and wishing well for those i care about.

Here in the state of NY, local musicians in bars and clubs used to play and sing the song "All I Wanna Do Is Grow Old With You" song using their own acoustic guitars after this movie came out. That's how popular the movie was in the late 90's despite it taking place in the mid 80's.

I understand you hesitate to watch romantic movies. I have my own story with this one regarding a girl I loved, a long story. This movie is great, you'll enjoy it, I really do, but also bring up memories I can't shake off. Loved your reaction, I had a great time 🤗

Not a lot of competition. Adam Sandler comedies are generally awful. He does so many that he sometimes hits on a winning formula. The 80s gimmick works for me as another GenX. On the other hand he does that silly singing voice he oppressed us with ad nauseum on SNL.

Sometimes it seems like us hopeless romantics are now a dying breed, but you definitely aren't the only one who still believes (or at least wants to believe) in soulmates, Dasha. Wishing nothing the best for you. As far as romantic songs go, "Fade Into You" (Mazzy Star) always hit me in the feels quite a bit

Dasha, I have been following you for some time. You are a beautiful woman but the lighting you're using does not do you justice. I'm well aware that in these reaction videos the appearance of the reactor is kind of a taboo subject but I just thought someone should tell you. Besides I did find what you talked about earlier in the video. I've been married to the love of my life for 30 years I wish we had 100 or more.
