100%, you can clearly see the improvement from that In The Night live, where Adele reacted, im sure he was nervous because he is performing to such a large crowd, (I have anchored before and I feel nervous at all times lol), but he overcame that and now is one of the best :)

Abenezer Gebeyehu He has a really nice voice and every song he writes is basically about the same thing. Besides his voice and him not shying away from sexual lyrics there’s absolutely nothing that you could use to say he’s a musical genius. Abel at his best is average and is only great because of his voice.

He clearly does NOT write his own music. Don’t make me go there. He is alright and even if you like his music, this title says “CANT SING LIVE” you gonna deny some parts of his performances sound like shit? I’ll put the times right now. He can sing, but I don’t know A single live performance that doesn’t have these same fuck ups. He’s too LOW and it’s really amateur on his part because he doesn’t do interviews, etc...., all he does is music, but can’t perform? Geez, accept the truth. You can still like him, but stop lying to yourself. Yes, he can sing and yes, sometimes he’s shit performing. I can name just as many bad songs too so I dare you to do that to me. You see these people using his real name? They listen to him maybe just as much or more than you. @@Max-unswayed facts, a live show or professional recording vs phone recording makes such a big difference. Phone cameras thin out the sound and screw with the pitch, don’t judge yourself off them

I used to think that he can't sing live, because around 2012 he was very lowkey when singing live, he didn't even try to hit most of the hight notes and would just sing very very low, almost whispering the notes, like he was shy. But in his official song where he has auto tune, he would scream his lungs out. That made me think that he can't even hit the high notes. He would avoid the hard falsettos too often. But then came Starboy, and now he gives it i his all live, and I was proven wrong. I've even found some live performances of The knowing from 2011 that people recorded on their phone, and he clearly could sing live back then as well, so it makes me wonder why he often didn't try so hard back then and avoided all the hard parts. Wicked games live is especially quiet and different from the original song, almost a different melody.

Coachella 2012 was the turning point where he started to improve his performances. Then in 2015, he finally got a vocal coach for his tour and he took it to another level

He doesn't have a powerhouse voice but that doesn't mean he can't sing. He has a softer, falsetto but he makes amazing music and always delivers to his fans. I love the Weeknd, he's my favorite artist. He may not be able to sing like Bruno Mars but he's way more unique and creative.
