Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide is a show that feels like it only comes around once in a decade or so. It has all the makings of what make a show in general good, but it's the unique ways that Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide brings you into the narrative in an artistic and cartoony fashion. But Nickelodeon never seemed to really love this show as much as the fans did, resulting in several attempts to get a roboot for Ned's Declassified but as of right now, nothing has come of it. Well, in a way, we actually may have just been given that reboot of Ned's Declassified in a slightly different way.

Ned Declassified is so underrated. Even though Nick doesn't see the value in having a reboot, I love that Devon, Lindsey and Daniel decided to bet on themselves and start a podcast anyway. Something I really apreciated about this show is that unlike other shows at the time (*cough cough- Zoey 101) Most of the times the main characters didn't "Win" or had they plans go perfectly, like in the daydreaming episode, even tho Ned answered the riddle right, when he arrived to the cafeteria he was the only one who didn't get pizza. It really helped and teached kids that most of the times "winning everytime" or having everything come your way isn't a realistic turn of events.

My favorite moment on Ned's Declassified was in the music class episode when Ned says he wants to rock like the Foo Fighters, Incubus... and Everclear, and the music teacher says "Never heard of them". The crazy thing was that the music teacher was actually played by the lead singer of Everclear, and the song he performs about wanting to be a rockstar is actually a song BY Everclear (my favorite song of theirs lol). I'm not even the biggest fan of Everclear, but this was such a cool thing to learn about and helped me to really respect them.

That's my favorite episode, while I never became a rockstar. I definitely remember that episode for teaching me about how even the basics and fundamentals are important for every activity you do. And it also gave me a lasting perspective on practice vs talent. Also, It was pretty cool when I realized it was the lead singer from Everclear. Although, it was pretty Everclear that he wasn't a normal actor from the beginning.

One thing I liked about the show is that the teachers (even the strict ones) were shown to ultimately want what is best for the students rather than being portrayed as complete adversaries. The teachers might still at times be the conflict but they were always shown to have good intentions. I think shows that portray teachers as these evil beings that want to destroy all fun and fail everyone really do a disservice to both the students who see that and the teachers who teach them. So seeing a show that portrays teachers as not being somebody you want to be dealing with but who ultimately wants to see you succeed is much better than a lot of other shows I have seen.

I can easily imagine a Ned's Declassified Adulting Survival Guide. It would be simultaneously zany and depressing, which would be pitch-perfect for the Millennials and Zoomers who watched the original. I can see the episode titles now: "The Gig Economy", "Taxes", "Work/Life Balance", "Health Insurance", "Landlords", "Monetizing Your Hobbies", "Impending Environmental Disaster", and "Coping with Never Being Able to Own Your Own Home." Edit: I typed this before the last 20 minutes. I'd watch this show over Zoey 102, TBH.

Ned declassified was one of the top tear shows I had growing up and for the time it was one of the only shows that fit into the middle school age to watch not too adult or to kiddy and having Ned speak directly to the camera about the tips made a more parrasoical relationship between the audience making it feel like he genuinely cared about making our time through school better. The tips genuinely did help for the beginning when it’s such a big change from elementary to middle and I feel like at least help me with understanding how to socialize better and give a better understanding of different social dynamics in young life

I didn't realize it at the time, because I was likely the perfect age for this show, but having Ned's Guide was really a great set of lessons that led to a level of emotional maturity I don't think I would have without. I have a lot of fond memories of this show. I would love an "adulthood survival guide" reboot, God knows I need it rn haha. I also had no idea the actors for Ned and Mose actually dated, or that all 3 of the main trio are still friends irl, that's really cute!

You really are the channel to watch to get that nostalgia tingle. I never knew they dated in real life and here I am invested in an hour long video about a show I really enjoyed during my middle school.

Thinking about it now, this might have been my favorite Nick show. Period. It came out when I was in middle school, so I could relate pretty easily, especially to Cookie. I also had the biggest crush on Moze. I don't think a reboot needs to happen. If Nick doesn't want it, it's their loss.

Man this show was so special to me as a kid. I had a uniquely terrible middle school experience and had to grow up very quickly. Watching this show as it aired at the same time provided a sense of normalcy and helped me actually feel like a kid when i shouldve been, instead of dealing with harsh adult issues. All the nickelodeon shows helped but this one in particular helped getting through what felt to me like the more insignificant hurdles of school much easier.

I always felt this was so silly but he gave a great tip for setting your locker numbers ahead of time if you had a next class you had to get to fast and I used that until high school. Not to mention the other little tips about love, life, and friendship I still treasure. What a show. What a breakdown. Thanks Jordan!

If they decide to do a continuation of the show, I would like to think Ned becomes a guidance counselor so middle schoolers for a new generation. It would be a great passing of the torch and find a way to add More and Cookie

Dude for a comedy, this show actually did put out some really useful tips for school. Like leaving your locker combo halfway done so you could just turn and open. Bringing extra clothes and siting by the door so you can avoid squeezing through a tiny door with 20 other people.

As someone who watched this show in Germany I always thought they were in highschool and not middle school! I think that was mostly because the German voice actors don't sound like middle schoolers (especially cookie in my opinion) and it always such a weird feeling to hear the actor's actual voice like I know they are young and you can tell they are young by looking at them but it's always fucking with my head

Great show, and honestly looking back, pretty dang good acting. Not sure if that was due to direction or the actors, but either way, the kids they got in the cast really knock it out of the park.

I love this show! Looking back, I realize the way that other people talked about Drake and Josh and iCarly was how I felt about this one: Ned's Declassified was my show! Also, watching this retrospective made me realize how much of a role model Moze was for me. She wasn't a girlie girl and didn't fit in with a lot of the uber feminine middle schoolers, but she still dressed in girls' clothes had female friends, like I did. And I love how she did woodshop and didn't care what other people thought about it, because she was damn good at it! It really did impact how I carried myself through middle school, especially since the show ended right before I finished 5th grade

This is one of those shows that has survived the test of time. When they first advertised it, I didn't really care for it. I saw it as Nick trying to sort through the leftovers of what Disney had done with their live action shows. "Ned" felt like Nick's answer to "Even Stevens", in the same way that "Unfabulous" was their attempt to win over "Lizzie McGuire" fans. But they were just different enough to be their own things, and in my opinion, "Ned" is the better show by a mile.

I grew up with this show, and no lie my middle school shop teacher: 1) had his classroom in a very dark and kinda scary basement And 2) was missing 3 fingers, which he claimed was specifically from the shop equipment And when I say I was TERRIFIED of shop after that, even though it ended up being a pretty cool class

Ned’s declassified was always such a fascinating show to me, because I’m from Denmark and we don’t have schools divided as you do in the States. I always watched it with both a “I know this is a very over-the-top satirical way of portraying how a middle school is in America” but also a sort of “huh, so this is what it’s like” kind of mix - I grew up with various sitcoms and movies portraying middle and high schools and I always had a little dream of wanting to move to the states to experience it on my own, and I know this sounds weird, but this show sort of gave me a way to experience that without having to move of course. I could sort of pretend for a bit. Because Ned still gave pretty solid, albeit generic, advice that either I could kind of use or let me see that children in America could. And that gave me a small peek into what it was like to go to a middle school (but taken with a grain of salt as I knew this wasn’t a documentary😅) plus I always really liked that it was advices given from a kid to other kids, which made it more believable in some way, if that makes sense. Really loved this video man!

I never got into Ned's Declassified as I was feeling too old for it when it came out. However, seeing the main trio still hanging out as friends warms my heart. I love that for them, and probably would get into the series if it did get rebooted just for that. Mainly because it sounds like it would become a passion project of sorts, and I wish that for them!

Hmm, you know that if Ned's Declassified continued into High School then it would of gone a little something like this High School: It can be on Nickelodeon and or Teen Nick "or both at the same time" which would discuss a little more serious issues, problems, etc on how to tackle day to day life when in High School "yes, even friends and teachers there as well". College/University and or Tech and Trade School: It can be on Nick & Nite and would cover topics about the stress in being away from home in a very big college/university or home at a local college and dealing with even more problematic topics that High School and Middle School Survival Guides couldn't cover. I will note that they can do a College/University and or Tech and Trade school at any time since nobody is too young and or too old to attend further education "aka, College/University and Trade and Tech Schooling"

What I think is a great testament of how great this show was is back in 2006-2007 when this show was first airing my 6th grade science class was able to convince our teacher to let us watch the show in class. She actually watched the show on her free time and agreed that it was great and actually recorded an episode for us to watch once in class.

I wrote a high school handbook as a creative writing exercise in 2010 and reading it 15 years later I find that it still applies in a ways I guess I shouldn’t be surprised about. Ned’s was an awesome series and I think we all saw it as just entertainment, with maybe a handful of takeaways which actually proved useful.

I loved this show as a kid. I didn’t even know much I watched it as a kid until I started listening to the Podcast rewatch and I remember each episode from the description that Devon, Lindsay and Daniel are talking about. TeenNick must have reran the show after it went off a lot or I caught new episodes without knowing it. It’s insane, and weirdly this show holds up.
