Adoration shoots all over the place for this show. I own the series & watch it as my fail safe comfort zone. When Leonard says he & Penny aren't together anymore to Sheldon holding his redrafted roommate agreement to include Penny again & throws it up in the air saying "Do you ever think of other people Leonard?!....Do You? Golden moment right there.

Bernadette & Amy was just her friend meanwhile Leonard was her boyfriend so it has more pressure to tell Leonard about her education level compare to the two & even the video Penny doesn't want to tell to the two but she just end up admitting it since Bernadette saw the book. I mean hello do you even not experience that kind of things? And if you watch BBT when Leonard confronted her about that, she said to him she was embarrassed & feel like she wasn't enough as a girlfriend since he was well educated.

@@cassiophea1399 you are getting two things mixed up here. In this particular scene it’s not about shame, Penny is just annoyed by Leonard’s way of motivating and being proud of her. I don’t think that comes from a sense of shame but rather because she finds him annoying. That’s why she rolls with her eyes in this scene. I don’t see any pressure or embarrassment.

Sherman's illegal and unconstitutional invasion of the South ended up causing the deaths of hundreds of blacks at Ebenezer Creek north of Savannah. At least Sherman knew his illegal invasion of the South was about MONEY from Southern cash crops and nothing else! This short telegram, from US General William Tecumseh Sherman to Abraham Lincoln, is dated December 22, 1864. “I beg to present you as a Christmas gift the city of Savannah with 150 heavy guns and plenty of ammunition and also about 25,000 bales of COTTON,” Sherman wrote.

@@MGTOWPaladin You're entirely wrong, but you do make some fair points. As to the legality of Sherman's March to the Sea, he was under **orders** to do so. He, Grant, Phil Sheridan and Adm. David Farrugut worked out the strategy to shorten the war by reducing the Confederacy's ability to wage war. Yes, this meant wasting the plantation agricultural base, looting them [thereby reducing the South's cash reserves to buy foreign goods], and invading the South's industrial heartland. Was this brutal? Yes, it absolutely was. But it **saved** lives in the end by shortening the war. As for the bales of cotton in Savannah, IIRC Sherman ordered those bales burned. So so much for the 'profit motive' there. As for burning the bridges at Ebenezer Creek, yes that was a nasty business. But Sherman didn't have the rations to feed nor the troops to guard the slaves who'd walked off their plantations. What's more, Johnston's army was in pursuit and Sherman's job was to keep his army in being to continue his mission. And I'll just go ahead and say it: there was likely an element of racism involved too, but I really believe that the military reasons took precedent.

Opposites attract. Leonard has someone that admires his intelligence, and will boost his ego as he explains stuff to her, and Penny has her helpless little man that's afraid to go to the local bodega without backup cuz there's 'shady guys' hanging around. She can introduce him to 'cool kids' stuff, and he gets to have and actually pretty girl on his arm, and not some nerd girl who he has to compete with in even the most basic of conversations. No real mystery here.

For those of you who were disappointed by this series, how Penny was never a well developed character, and how it ended, let me recommend you this: . “What could have been”, by son-goku5. . WAY BETTER than the actual show. It takes place THROUGHOUT the show, but has real and better character development for Penny. It's like 95% from Penny's POV, and it also gives her more depth by showing/including her family from Nebraska as well as her family. It definitely made me feel better about how disappointing the last five seasons were. The show should have just ended with Leonard and Penny getting married. Also this story puts Penny in moments where she wasn't. (Vegas and Camping Trip where the guys were Tripping while Camping; she gets high too). Also, there's a huge twist that makes the show honestly look dumb in romantic story telling. There's also more Penny vs Sheldon in it, to the point that Sheldon messes with her job and she messes with his schedule. Penny also doesn't become unlikable in it, and remains her "before she got married" self to the end. Her fate in this story is also a lot better. And Leonard's proposal is WAY better in it. They also show Leonard interacting with her family more often (they also show him asking for her parents blessing, which is a very well written moment) and he even tells Penny he's jealous of her for having nice parents. Leonard also gets REAL character development in this story too. He grows up and acts less nerdy but still remains a nerd (for example he missed half a day of Comic Con to take care of Penny when she gets a headache. That's what I call maturity. And when Raj uses the whip sound, to make fun of him for taking care of her, Penny gets all mad for them making fun of Leonard and she even mentions his problem with Emily and the Iron Maiden 😂. When all he's doing is something thoughtful). What's best about this story is that while they do act like their sitcom selves, Leonard and Penny develop more realistically like REAL PEOPLE. READ IT! Also the author is German, and I think he's a physicist, because he writes science dialogue that's offscreen. Penny also comes to hate Beverley a lot. She also stands up for him when someone flirts with her and denigrates him at the same time, because she knows he never was able to do it his whole life. It’s really beautiful. At one point she even calls him in her mind, her soulmate. Penny and Leonard plan a REAL wedding, and they exchange actual beautiful vows, and makes it clear she wants to have a genuinely happy life with him because he at one point in the story says that “life will go by and all that a person will have is a regret of not doing something”. Leonard is a little philosopher in this story. He even tells Penny he’s thinking about changing his name to “Leonardo”, cause it get rid of the word “nerd” in his name, but ultimately doesn’t. Amy also insult Leonard and Penny shoots her a dirty glare: "That movie kinda describes you and Leonard, doesn't it?" Amy asked, commenting on She's Out Of My League, the movie Bernadette had chosen. "Also, Howard and Bernadette's as well." "What do you mean?" Bernadette asked as Penny emptied her fifth glass of wine before standing up to go to the kitchen, the other girls following her. "Top girl and not so top guy meet, fall in love and live happily ever after." "What do you mean, not so top guy?" Penny wanted to know, squinting at her friend. "Well, it's safe to say that you, Penny, are an extremely beautiful woman." Amy stated, making Penny smile smugly. "Leonard, on the other hand, is a short, geeky nerd who, in normal circumstances, couldn't dream of getting a woman like you. The same with Howard, who is even shorter and doesn't have a doctorate to impress at least with that." "I kinda want to slap you silly now." Bernadette growled and Penny agreed with a nod before pouring more wine into her glass while Bernadette emptied a bag of popcorn into a bowl in a very threatening manner.

@Christopher Bingham That is because Leonard is was and always will be a pushover. Sheldon put HIS CONDITIONS from the start. Penny had to ABIDE to said conditions FROM THE START. Sheldon did not apologize for existing. Penny learned to respect him and sit with him to learn about string theory. Penny accepted HIM , his world. She respected him more than Leonard because SHELDON RULED HIS WORLD and was CONFIDENT. Shenny was the answer man. Im sorry. Go have a beer.
