Nate Jones in the SBS (Vol. 58 (p. 116)) Tsuru's Devil Fruit name is revealed and then in both chapter 556 and episode 465, Tsuru is seen with pirates that she washed and hang out to dry - so yh i think its shown more in the anime tho if i remember correctly

My guess is that there will be a scene where Tsuru tries to use her fruit on Luffy and it's ineffective because he's pure of heart. The same way Boa's fruit was ineffective against him

I was thinking the same thing. I'm not sure if there is actually going to be a scene like that (but maybe - it's possible), but I was thinking, that power wouldn't work on Luffy for that reason. (Even before watching this video.)

@@ShiyarokuBasil I think it will be an important scene. Like maybe Garp finally decided to leave the Marines and side with Luffy, Tsuru would be confused and upset until she actually meets Luffy, tries to use her power on him, and finally realize why Luffy is different from other pirates

Actually, I think I know how Sugar's powers are connected. It has to do with Childhood. She stays young forever. Can turn people into toys, to play with them. She can command them, as it forcing them to play with her. And people forget them because the toys belong to her not whoever they were with before.

It comes from a myth of a tanuki placing a leaf on the head to shapeshift. If you know the film Pom Poko, it shows there pretty well (maker of my neighbor Totoro) So yeah it is weird but not weird enough because it's more of a reference

20:00 Well, continuing with the D&D analogy, if Luffy were Chaotic-Good or Chaotic-Neutral he would remain chaotic-good or chaotic-neutral, no matter how many times he is washed. Oda said "villains who have been dried get their hearts a little bit cleaner as well; their evil hearts become fainter," so it only makes you less evil. Of course it wouldn't mess with the Law vs Chaos axis, and as for the Good vs Evil, it seems to just be able to drag you 'til neutral, where your evilness is already gone.

the "O" is jsut to "politen up" O-Mizu and Mizu - both would just mean water, but the "O" makes it a more polite way in saying so but by no means does it change the meaning in any way

To be fair, the video really starts nearly at minute 7, the first 6 minutes and something are "filler". I love Tekking, and i know his intros are long and he goes on tangents often, but sometimes he really stretches the situation to the point that it starts to be boring. Of course you could always use the "if you don`t like it then don`t watch it", but it goes beyond that! I feel like now and then he stretches the videos saying over repeated things (for example: explaining who is x character, when we meet him/her for the first time, him/her relationship with other people, their legacy and best moments) when the actual purpose of the video is his/her devil fruit.

One thing I've always questioned about the power of the Gura Gura no mi: Does the fruit inherantly give any wielder the power to destroy the world or was it only so insanely powerful because Whitebeard had it? How powerful would the Gura Gura no mi be in someone else's hands? How powerful would other Devil Fruits be if Whitebeard or other characters of comparable strength had them? I always assumed the power of the quakes created was at least partially dependent on the strength of the user.

When brook learned how to detach his soul I assumed that that was a natural part of brooks fruit Like if you haven’t died yet with the yomi yomi you could still leave your body and inhabit another vessel and Brooke just chooses to remain in his current form Which would be awesome if that were the case and if wasn’t limited to people brooke learned to inhabit inanimate objects like maybe he inhabits a suit of armor or a ship or something

I like how Oda foreshadowed this extent of weird power at Marineford with Otsuru, and why Doffy recruited Sugar to combat Otsuru + Osturu’s power could have no effect on some, like Perona and Ussopp, Luffy and Boa, and maybe Doffy and Sugar, with Sugar not being able to do it against those who use clones Either way, your analysis of content is always amazing man!

Random devil fruit idea I came up with while watching this video. A cereal based paramecia or cereal-cereal fruit. Anything organic touched by the users palms is turned to the state of soggy cereal. Weakness could be that the more a person moves the more they dry out. Or the hotter the area the faster they return to normal. And the more wielder of this fruit uses their power the faster they dehydrate.

I'd assume Otsuru's fruit requires something like physical contact to activate, and that was just skipped over. Kind of like Sugar's fruit. Like, maybe she turns people into clothes on touch, and then has to manually wash them (and is just really good and quick at it). I find the thought hilarious.

I use a cloths line every week at work. work at a grooming shop, and we use towels to dry the dogs after they get their bath. We have a washer then to wash the towels, but the place dose not have to hookups for a dryer, so we have to hang the towels to dry outside. even use clothespins

Tekking I have always considered you an intelligent individual, sure you focus mostly on anime, but you are a smart guy. But today that belief was shaken, not knowing how the old clothing pegs or pens work, I thought you were joking, momentarily. Then the sadness. You are using a clothing line, you take sheets (or shirts or towels or pants or whatever) and place it over/on the line depending on what type of clothing you are dealing with and then you simply press the pen down, such that the string with the portion of clothing you have selected as your anchor point slides into the opening. The closer it gets to the very inside the tighter the garment will be held to the line. I hope this helps. I still believe in you, sorta. I still believe in you when you aren't hanging clothes on a clothing line, which is great because you probably will never do that! Love your stuff bud, hope you and yours have a great and safe holiday season.

Luffy is Chaotic good, because he gets involved in incidents like Alabasta and Dressrosa simply because he does not like what the bad guys are doing. Chaotic Neutral is more like Mihawk.

@@robertnelson9599 An argument could be made for both depending on your perspective. Personally I see someone as chaotic good if they can't stand the sight of people suffering. With Luffy, while I don't get the impression that he doesn't care at all, he has pretty much accepted that the world is unfair and bad things happen to people. The reason he helps is not because he objects to tyranny and cruelty in general but because he makes friends very easily and personally likes the people who are suffering. Feel free to correct me on this but I don't recall him ever getting in a conflict he or his friends didn't have a personal stake in.

I think that air drying clothes is still very common in Japan especially since most homes are too small to have both a washer and a dryer. Either they hang clothes to dry on their balconies or go to the roof of the apartment building.

Tsuru probably has some involvement with sword. When she chased Doflamingo to Swallow island, she's the one who picked up X Drake. It would also make sense for her to be working with Sengoku and Garp there.
