Why is Ascension 1 easier? I hear people saying it but I've never quite understood.

@@Psychdmg2444 Ascension 1 spawns more elites which means you get more relics and rare cards which means you die to act bosses less.

The Guardian is probably the most forgiving Act I Boss. 14 Plated Armor is a lot for the Juggernaut deck to claw through.

The problem with that is the amount of cards you need to start the engine. Just Anger alone would need at least 2 cycle to start being effective late game. Juggernauts and evolves would be needed to be drawn and played first. If he didn't have Corruption and an ungodly amount of Shrugs , he would be dead in hallways fights way before the heart. If he only have Juggernaut synergy, the Raptomancer would wreck him with an unlucky random damage roll.

It is not a bad play, but I dont think you could call it optimal. It does change things up quite a bit tho so if you are a sts god like jorbs I could see preferring it to other choices

I think the point is it makes each run a bit more different and that's a challenge for bored Jorbs. It makes act1 super easy also

@Refined Snack I'm noat sure I agree with your definition of "optimal", provided I understand what you mean by "solve". Anyway, a lot of people considered this to be very risky decision, capable to almost definitely tank your run right on spot. Granted, how bad some possibilities are is debatable, and some of them got better since then.

If you don't have full information (like in StS, yeah), then you have to fall back onto probabilities or, in this case, some empiric data, but "optimal" is still a term you can use. But given that you've basically implied all that here, I feel like I'm arguing around semantics. Point being, just about a year ago most people seemingly thought that relic swap was too risky to be good on average.

may I ask how it is in any way close to nox? the point of nox is that it deals scaling damage, and juggernaut has no scaling.

Juggernaut can be way faster but you need the right deck, fumes is already good without help

@@remifasomidore1046 You pick juggenut to be defensive and do dagame at the same time, thats why i said jug was a worst noxius fumes. Silent gets the freedom to be defensive with just a fumes and a deadly poison+ while ironclad needs to use jugg, corruption, feel no pain and 10 block cards to do it.
