I listened to all 3 episodes thank you Mhara! I can’t help but notice how interesting it is that the myths, practices and magical creatures cross over with my own spiritual path. In fact they are not myths at all but different portals dimensions that we can access, and they exist alongside the 3D reality we live in. Thank you for these podcasts they are enriching my understanding of the world of witches and the magical realms xx 🧝🏽‍♀️✨

This has been so delightful! I felt compelled to learn about Cerridwen for some reason, and then ran across Kristoffer's book about her, and then randomly found you (after seeing you on TikTok lol), and now you two are together! I love it! This was so informative and inspiring, and the passion that you both feel for your crafts really comes through in the way you speak!

I am loving this so much, the crackle made me giggle with joy! I’m on a Venusian goddess path with mainly Egyptian and Hindu deities, but I have past life memories of being a witch with links to Wales. I had pale skin, red hair and remember a heavy spell book and being in beautiful forests and gardens and living with SO MUCH JOY! I was intrigued to find out more …

I loved this interview so much, first one I’ve heard of the series but it was very inspirational in terms of digging deeper into my own county, and people putting into words emotions and sensations I’ve kept to my self as I didn’t feel the urge to justify them. I’ll be listening to a couple more, if they top this one I’d be amazed! Thank you xxx

I loved what Kristoffer had to say about being rooted but how do you do that as a US witch. My ancestry is 98% Celtic including Welsh with a dash of Norse but we have been gone from the land for centuries and staunchly protestant for centuries. How do I root my practice being so far removed?

Do you have to be welsh to do Welsh magic.

if it´s anything like the uralic tradition you´ll probably find some of the creation deities among the gods (cultural heroes), at least that´s what seems to have happened here. there´s often two or three creation deities (never one, fuck your "source", new agers) but they have different names in different tribes, sometimes they´re like gods or elements, other times more like half animals, lovers or siblings.. personally i just see them as totemic ancestors of a certain tribe, that were later elevated higher or wider than they were in reality (like a riverside ancestor becoming a goddess of a whole region). that is also my personal experience, true practice is always local in nature.. the bird (spirit) that you meet every day should become more powerful than a long gone goddess (that is if you actually go outside / do things yourself, if just read about others probably the other way around, and as we know they didn´t read).

of course reading has a lot in common with storytelling.. did you know that it was forbidden here (in many tribes) to perform the sacred songs / tales in the summer.. it´s because summer is the time of doing, going, getting something to sing about (like seeing the sacred animals a lot of whom you can´t see in the winter). many modern bards / artists still follow that cycle.. they live in the summer, tour or whatever, get inspiration, then write their stories or songs and release them in the spring. so as in all things natural / pagan it´s not either or, it´s both / all. i just wanted to go against reading so i left that part out :) (i loathe especially state enforced reading, because i know where it comes from, if it´s from free will that´s fine)

also i think you can see the transformation into godliness in the pop star cult.. a lot of them are only properly revered after their death, because that´s when they loose their mortal weaknesses and other petty stuff that might have made them questionable in the eyes of the people. a good example is sinead o´connor.. after she´s gone people will forget all the shit she said or did and only remember her in her purest form, performing live when she was twenty something (that´s how you manifest emotions). kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q8WkfaSHzMC8YJc.html so there´s your average goddess :) (purest form of something, exceptional at something) it´s great for me to get to watch them, because they´re just doing their thing.. from her comments you can hear that she was more concerned about finding her (next) boyfriend :)

it´s strange when they try to belong in those foreign religions they become like serial monogamists (it says she´s had four husbands). so behind every goddess there´s at least four men! there´s the life you live ja the life your "religion" says that you should live, and when those two do not meet, it´s not good. just follow your heart (maybe head too, only advice you need).

maybe she´s a bad example.. i don´t actually think she´s a goddess, but she could have been one, if she had just stayed the course (of magic). the real gods and goddesses are among us though (look closely and you´ll notice them). i see it as not anything you can become (it´s what others make of you).
