Diolch Mhara. I can take on board the positive things you've said about Gwydion here, and I note indeed that he was a single-father. At the same time, I can't get out of my mind, when regarding him, what he and Gilfaethwy did to Goewin, and feel distanced to him as a result. I would have hoped that his subsequent punishment by Math (a wild story!) would have taught him respect for women (I'd like to her a trans understanding of his punishment), but his treating of Blodeuwedd as an object doesn't give me that impression. Maybe you've covered this in another video somewhere, but I'd be interested in your views.

While I was watching the original movie of The Golden Compass, as she was standing there watching “the dust”… my immediate thought was, “That’s Awen!!!”

I feel like the gods and the goddess, maybe we're never alive, but the more us humans work with them the more they become alive we feed that energy and that energy becomes alive, for example Hecate, so many people work with her worship her and therefore her energy is alive because we feed that, and the same with these gods and goddess I'm currently working with Cereidwen, and Brigid then winter time it's the Cailleach, but I'm also coming from Christianity and that's been hard

Your book arrived yesterday and I'm looking forward to reading it. I remember in the 60s my Mam took me to see a witch in Hirael, Bangor as my palms were covered in warts. She dipped a needle in a bowl of liquid and pricked each wart. They were gone within a week. I think her name was Mrs Locke. In the 90s I was suffering with psoriasis and my Dad got a salve from a witch near Holyhead in Ynys Mon. I remember it was made from plants and was dark brown. It helped my psoriasis.

Thank you so much for this. I have the chair my Nain received at a chapel Eisteddfod in Bangor in 1928. My great grandfather was a bard who was an ovate at the Wrexham Eisteddfod in 1876. He walked to County Durham to get work as a miner and organised Eisteddfodau in County Durham for the Welsh community. In his 20s he wrote an angry poem about poverty and hunger called Caledi yr Amser.

I thought qi was translated to “winds” same with prana and relates to the element specifically That we have Channels in the body that “wind” moves through and can be utilized using breath and movement-to release stagnation in the physical body therefor relaxing the mind(among many other things)All this is really helpful, and I don’t see why one would need a welsh version so much, if tcm doctors are everywhere and yoga instructors are everywhere. Like if you want to practice something, why not learn about it specifically there’s plenty of elders willing to teach, and not copy/paste it into another culture.

Cauldrons are like Lay's Potato Chips. So Mhara, please repeat after me..."you can't eat just one, you can't have just one, you can't boil in just one." After chanting this for a few minutes, please indulge in purchasing another. One can never have to many cauldrons!

I love this so much, but I have a genuine question; why are there only white people there? Is it a geographical populace factor? Just curious.
@mharastarling2730
@mharastarling2730 23 күн бұрын
It is most likely due to the population of the local area. Anglesey after all is a rural part of North Wales, and we don’t have as much diversity as more urban areas. And then one has to factor in that this is a Pagan event, and Paganism in the UK is statistically made up of predominately white folks. So adding both factors together = predominance of white people at such events. But I can assure you it wasn’t just white folks there! Whilst we definitely made up the majority, there were definitely POC present.
