The word "Smosh" was a derivative of Anthony hearing a mispronunciation of the words "mosh pit." Mispronounced as "smosh pit." That’s where he got the name "Smosh" from. In addition to that, the name of the official second channel was changed to "Smosh Pit." First being called "IanH" and more commonly being known as "Smosh 2nd Channel" before the final name change.
