Twon, I also saw 1979 pop up and I was confused. They are talking about the album titled The Whispers was released 1979. The song Rock Steady (which wasn't on that album) was released in 1987. I had just started high school! Lol

This song was released in 1987 not 1979...The Whispers have been in the business since the 1960’s. This song is from their 18th studio album and is a forever bop. Check out Keep On Lovin Me, the video if you can.

Whaaattt?? You never heard this?? Well, I'm glad you finally got to hear it.. this song came out in the 80s..I forgot the year, but Babyface wrote this for them.. they went up to him and asked to write them a song, and this is one of a few that he wrote for them.. They are a legendary group and deserve their flowers

The Whispers have an amazing catalog you should check it out. The lead singers are twins next you should check out their song Olivia it's one of their songs that really show case their voices. Rock steady might not be your favorite song by them anymore.

Rock Steady was released in 1987...but their earlier hits "And The Beat Goes On" and "It's A Love Thing" came out in 1979-1980. Rock Steady was produced by LA Reid & Babyface. It was a HUGE hit in the clubs in '87.
