Their ability to be a band after they got divorced has to go down in history. You can see their connection on Little Ghost when they are looking each other in the eyes and smiling singing the song. Such chemistry and were able to keep it going and have that connection straight through the music. Honestly gives me chills. They are the best ever.

You ever hear of a little band called Fleetwood Mac?
@imaxdigital7052
@imaxdigital7052 4 ай бұрын
@@herc_ules_therealone Fleetwood Mac were a band before Stevie Nicks even joined the group, you realize that, right? When she joined people hated it, they didn't think it was the same band anymore. Looking back now we see Nicks as being synonymous with the band, but they were a huge band for a few years before she joined. All I'm saying though is that they existed before Nicks, and would have existed after, had they not kept it together as they did.

@@imaxdigital7052Of course I knew they were a band before Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham (who was asked to join, but not Stevie. Lindsay later went on to say I'm not joining without Stevie who was his then lover). Your comment is unwarranted, if a little ill-conceived. I was referring to the OC comment and the correlation of the relationships and break ups of Fleetwood Mac. I hope this is a learning experience to you.

I wouldn't call myself a fan of the White Stripes, but I have a real soft spot for them after they played a show in Iqaluit, the capital of Canada's northern Nunavut territory. I can't say with absolute certainty, but I suspect they are the only major label act to have ever played a show there, and it was a big deal for the community. Jack and Meg showed a tremendous amount of respect to the Inuit that live there, both in playing the show and sitting with elders to hear stories of the people. They sure as heck didn't make much money doing a show for 600 people given the cost of getting there. You gotta love people that are that generous with themselves.

Yea. That Canada tour was AMAZING. HE EVEN PLAYED A cover of the traditional song, CATFISH BLUES, (HENDRIX,GOVT MULE also greatly cover this song) BUT JACK AND MEG, PLAYED THE SONG, ON A BOAT!! LIKE u could still see them from shore, but not hear that well. I'd give ANYTHING to hear the full version of Jack covering CATFISH blues. Warren Haynes in Gov't Mule covered that song...and just ripped on that song. Easily one of the best, guitarists still playing from another generation...

Damn I did not know that!!! My respect for them has grown tenfold after reading that, such a wonderful gesture by the band and their management team. I would like to think that they knew that what they would get in memories from that trip would outdo the type of money they would make playing to 3000 at Carnegie Hall.

When they were in Winnipeg for that tour they got on a city bus with a guitar and tambourine and played music for the riders on the way down to the Forks Market. They then found an old man busking and Jack and Meg played backup while he played lead and sang. So cool.

Meg allowed Jack to steal the spotlight and dominate the show, but you can tell with the way they communicate with each other and the looks they give to one another that they are in this together. Jack White is amazing, but his best work artistically and especially musically is with the "White Stripes." It's about the songs, you can be a great artist and still have average songs. The White Stripes have amazingly good songs. Coincidences are for the weak minded, and Jack White did his best work with Meg on drums. There is a reason for that since Jack has played with a lot of good musicians since then and by his standards I think those songs and performances were average but still better than most.
