Townshend's almost "Teddy Boy" hair and leather jacket, intentional or not, are reminiscent of the early Beatles look. He added to the spirit of the homage. Love the Beatles, love The Who - huge fan of all of the great British Invasions sounds. Thank you, GB for your greatest exports!

This is pretty entertaining. I would have liked to hear them take a shot at some other Beatles tunes; for instance, I reckon they could have done a decent version of "Come Together", or perhaps "Get Back". I do notice that Entwistle seems a little uncomfortable singing and playing bass at the same time, especially during "I Saw Her Standing There"; he seems to be thinking, "Bloody 'ell, how does McCartney make this look so easy?"

Of course, on this video 1982 there is no mr. Keith Moon. I talk in common about the beginning of this legendary group. Even after the dead of mr. Entwistle and mr. Moon the other members ( Pete and Roger!) watch over the musicaly "the Who identity!" British tradition.

This is Kenney Jones on the drums actually. Keith Moon couldn't play that consistent rocknroll drums at all. It was not his style. No hihats, just crash bashing and tom fills. That's what Keith Moon drumming was.

I HAD THE GOOD FORTUNE TO see THE WHO 2x. the 1st time at SULLIVAN STADIUM around 1990 we were the farthest from the stage as u could get. in 2003 my seat abutted the stage, so close i could have played 'footsie' with the band. both times their version of SHAKIN' ALL OVER was an epiphany!

Thanks for posting. I am going to order the DVD but must point out this clip is not a medley. It is two full songs in succession. A medley usually involves a few songs linked together as one performance. Dictionary definition is "a piece of music combining tunes or passages from various sources" .... although often linked by a theme. e.g. A Beatles medley or songs from the shows. Medleys will usually use a verse or chorus or two before moving into the next song. The Who versions here are two full songs. In some medley's the original song is brought back at the end although this is optional......Apologies it is the Music Teacher coming out of me again.

Wow, now I really appreciate those high notes by the Beatles. They aint easy. But the Who had great energy. Nice seeing a great band pay homage to the greatest of all.
