Ha! Ha! Ha! Yes, That's why I'm here. He does a great job with The Who, honouring John but not trying to replicate his playing. I think there might be something in the KZfaq algorithm that brings us bass players and Who fans here.

Pinos performance was perfect for the song. He's obviously capable of shredding the roof off of the My Generation solo (watch videos of him with dominic miller), but he plays it cool as to not step on the toes of Entwhistle. That's why this dude is the king. Plus he grooves like no other, and that solo was him. Not an imitation.

I couldn't quite nail it, but you did.

He should be an imitation. IT'S THE WHO! THEY SHOULD HAVE PACKED IT IN WHEN JOHN DIED. They have all the money in the world, what happens when Townsend goes, will it just be Daltry up there charging $250 a seat? It's all about the money now that's why the ONLY band I respect from that GENERATION is Led Zeppelin.
@haldern5013 ай бұрын
@@chrisk920 if a band chooses to keep going after losing key members of their sound, i'd much prefer them to work with what they've got instead of trying to roleplay as if they're still the same band they were. pino, while being polar opposite in terms of style to entwistle, did a great job considering the impossible task he was assigned

I have seen the Who many many times since the first time in 1971, and as much as I love them I will never see them again. Pino is a great musician, but totally wrong for this band. When I first saw him, it was the tour when Entwistle died, and he had a very short rehearsal time, so while I didn't like it, I didn't blame him. Saw them when they toured the new album and it was better I admit. Now he's settled in and he's just not right for The Who. Rogers voice is pretty much gone.. It's sorta sad
