What I really dislike about Greg coming back in 2012, is that the wiggles made it seem like he was back permanently when he was only brought back for a limited time

The reason is health reason as he didn’t have a proper farewell from the group...but he did with the final SYDNEY arena concert! (In which myself and y, older sister attended)

@@TheDerpyBoi I think he officially joined the fab four of fun in 2006 and lasted until 2012 but I know he was with the wiggles in 98 as a wiggly dancer and appeared as Professor Singalottasonga in The Wiggles Show in the early 00s, but he was mostly Greg's understudy

Awesome pics used for this documentary! I was raised on The Wiggles with Greg, Murray, Jeff, and Anthony. My grandparents had the VHS tapes for 'Wiggle Time' (1998), 'Wiggly Safari,' 'It's a Wiggly Wiggly World,' 'Yule Be Wiggling,' 'Hoop-Dee-Doo it's a Wiggly Party,' 'Toot Toot!,' and 'Wiggly Play Time.' I watched those videos religiously. I visited The Wiggles website pretty often too. Then one day, I noticed Greg's appearance on the website was different (at least I thought it was Greg). I noticed the yellow Wiggle looked different, but I didn't think much of it. I thought it was a glitch on my grandmother's computer!

Ah this really brings me back to my childhood I know most of the songs specifically from the Greg generation era (this was back when Greg was still part of the band before leaving for the first time)

According to a 1998 webpage from The Wiggles website they were also taping a concert from SeaWorld to air in the US on television in 1999 but unfortunate it never got broadcasted. :(

Fun fact: the concert clips that was used for Series 1 and 1998’s Wiggle Time remake aired on Disney Channel Australia as a TV special around 1999.

Some other weird facts of The Wiggles At several concerts, they would do impressions of other existing bands The members used to play the character suits and voices themselves before done by other actors The bands first video appearances were on ABC for Kids video hits compilations from 1991-94 The band was signed by Meryl Groce which started their success Also, the 2011 documentary stated that they listened to the dorothy song 50 times, not 40 Phillip Witcher actually left the group because he thought he wasn’t suitable for performing live in concert

True phenomenons, icons, hall of famers, and legends. They are truly internationally loved. Whenever I come across their songs, that nostalgia sure does hit. You realize they’ve come a long way once you ‎look at their early beginnings. I’m very glad I grew up with these guys.

Hatred?? Why? They are amazing! Whoever chose replacements did an amazing job. I honestly prefer them over the old wiggles crew. They drip with talent and I can't take my eyes off them. I also prefer their voices. Oh yeah, I'm forced to watch them because I have 5 kids and over the past 10 years ..my kids have gone through various stages of obsession with them, but most recently my newest baby whose 15 months. It was the first show he took interest in, and he's beyond obsessed. It's literally the only show out of thousands of cartoons on Netflix, that he wants. I've tried him on many but he only wants Wiggles. So that says something.

I grew up with both the original era and sam era of the wiggles these guys were my first gateway into music watching them sing , dance, and playing their instruments really made it fun for me to see heck , they were my first concert i ever went to back in 2007 , i remember back when i was a little kid every time i would watch a wiggles video it always felt like i was visiting old friends who were always there and just made really happy when i saw them on tv i really enjoyed your documentary dude P.S anthony and murray were always my favortie wiggles

You even included photographs from the very first recording session for the debut album which took place here in my home; in the very same room I am writing to you now! That is rather surreal, yes? I snapped the images myself! Ha! Just to mention if I may, the 1991 debut album also achieved ARIA Certified Platinum status in October 1995 for selling in excess of 70,000 units, although I do not think that was made public at the time. Ripley, are you from the UK? I seem to detect an English accent. If you are, please stay safe and well. I know Covid is more severe there than it is here. You know Both The Wiggles and Thomas have something in common. They are loved by both kids and adults because they both have charm to them.

@@jacobjcb8883 Yeah, but they’re both different children’s franchises. Thomas had some dark things like Season 5 or Magic Railroad, and also witty dialogue in the RWS books and TV episodes. The Wiggles didn’t really had anything dark or thrilling other than educating children.

Fact: Greg was actually doing well until August 22, 2006. I remember seeing him in August 2006, he seemed good. It was also the 30th he retired. False, The Wiggles were at their height in 2006, with 50 million dollars, and also the contract didn't end, they were removed because there were higher ratings from other shows on Disney. The Jeff surfing scenes were actually shot in 2008.

1. I took the information about Greg's condition from both his own autobiography and press releases from Paul Field so I consider both of those accurate sources. 2. If this was the case, contracts with Disney and The Wiggles would have been terminated 3. I was speaking more broadly on the segments with Greg vs the rest of the video but yes you are correct Thanks for watching :)

I did some reflecting last year on what got me first interested in music and guitars. It didn’t occur to me until this year that it must’ve been Murray with his various red guitars. Seeing him on tv and hearing Gregg’s incredibly clear voice kicked off something in me that I hasn’t left me since. It’s almost too coincidental that when I got my first electric guitar at 8, it was a red strat, (looked) just like one of the ones Murray would use. I still believe Gregg is an underrated vocalist.

I just watched this today and this is a fantastic documentary as I didn’t know some of the history like I didn’t know about The Cockroaches. As I was a fan of The Wiggles when I was younger I had the VHS’s and DVD’s, I even had one of those toy guitars it’s amazing to see how they are still around today 30 years later that’s when you know you have a good band.

Oh my goodness. I love this video so much! I learned so much. The nostalgic trip I went through when you played the intro for Light Camera Action Wiggle almost made me cry. Thank you! I get so worried since a lot of their videos online have a lot of dislikes from either the new wiggles or just because it's kids content which I think is ridiculous. I still play their music for fun and dance to it because it makes me happy.

I saw the Lights, Camera, Action liveshow in Chicago as a kid. The most famous person I have met by far is Murray Wiggle when he came up to my row and ruffled my hair.

I can't say for sure as I'm not involved with the wiggles at all but I would doubt it as they have already uploaded all the albums with Greg including the two that came out after Sam left. It seems they want to act like that era never really happened which is sad

I always found that weird when Greg returned in 2012 from health only to leave again in 2013. Also, since Sam left he hasn’t been mentioned or kept in touch with the Wiggles.

From what I understand it was an idea that was poorly executed by one of the higher ups... He's gone now, according to Greg's book, Murray and Jeff were originally meant to stay on and Simon was set to replace Greg, but then Jeff decided to call it quits and then Murray followed shortly after. As for Sam, it has been speculated that he was demanding a pay raise and royalties. I decided not to include any of this though as it is pure speculation... I doubt we will ever know what actually happened. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed!

Fun fact the wiggles did a show on sprout in America called Wiggly Waffle when Sam was in the group back in 2009 it lasted from August 24, 2009 to March 22, 2013 in the USA and from December 4, 2009 to January 1, 2013 in Australia the show also aired on ABC 4 kids in Australia

Are Greg, Murray and Jeff still working on the wiggles video and tv releases? I thought the decision was Greg, Murray and Jeff retired from performing in concert wearing the colored shirts and continued working with the band as production crew members only

You forgot the wiggles reunion bushfire concert from last month, that’s the one where Greg unfortunately collapsed on stage and had to do CPR in order to save his life,

I was born in 97. All I can say is that to this day, a wiggles MV will make me want to dance. Even if it’s a song about potatoes, spaghetti and squished bananas. I cant help it

39:06 it's actually pronounced "shu-sha", in Portuguese "x" is pronounced "sh". As a Brazilian, Wiggles helped me learn English and they are FAR better than whatever the hell Xuxa was trying to do
