@@marcobetanzos2467 Thank you . I'm not exactly sure but I want to say about $8500. My mother had a pre-paid funeral plan and we changed the vault to the Wilbert Copper Triune. We upgraded the casket to the Batesville Aegean copper casket. My father's brass urn was put into the casket. All total around $21K for everything. Opening closing of the grave, service, newspaper obit, etc. On top of that we spent around $35K for a large granite grave ledger and a quite large granite monument with photo's. It took about 2 yrs to get the granite and work done. March of this year it all finally was in place. Some people say OMG that much. It was their money so we spent it on them.

The grave ledger sits on top of the vault. 3 holes were dug down to the vault top and cement poured in the holes. Below the ledger is a gravel base. The ledger should never move. The photo's they are able to do now are something else. I don't know how those are made but they are practically industructable. It's like ceramic bonded to a metal backing.

@@marcobetanzos2467 Two things I would not do are, pre-pay.plan and assign a funeral home as an insurance policy beneficiary. Pay into a savings account or insurance policy and assign someone who will do what you want done. For my mother the FH took everything on the pre-pay including interest and adjusted for the up charges on the casket and vault. I paid the balance and didn't push back on what we were charged. The FH was a family ran one and not some corporate owned one. I had an aunt who also had a pre-pay plan and when the time came the casket she had picked out was no longer available. Did she get a cheaper casket, probably. I bought myself the same casket my mother had for way less than what we were charged and put it in storage aka my garage. Two of my aunts ended up in a concrete vault with holes in the bottom. Dear gawd I could not imagine putting a loved one in one of those septic tanks. Thanks to greedy children that is what they got.
