Video transcript:
- So the Wilder is a four-star residents only boutique property. We opened in 2018. And our owners are Frankie and Josephine Whelehan. We have a sister hotel in Cork, the Montenotte Hotel. We have 42 guest bedrooms in total. Doubles to Deluxe Townhouse Kings, and then we have our Junior Suites as well. So, it was originally constructed in 1878 during the Victoria era. It was originally used as their home to retired governesses and in most recent years, it was an artists' studio. The building was designed by Architect James Hargrave Bridgford. And in the 1930s, the building was extended on the ground floor, and that's where our Lady Jane suite is now located. So very different offering in Dublin. The fact that we are a residents only townhouse really is an oasis in the city of Dublin. So the Wilder Townhouse is located on Adelaide Road which is five minutes from Harcourt Street, and around a 10-minute walk to St. Stephen's Green. So we're close to the Royal Canal. Just at the end of our street, that's where you can access the Royal Canal. So the closest LUAS stop would be Charlemont or Harcourt Street. So we have 42 bedrooms in the townhouse. Then we have our Garden Room and that's where breakfast is served. And then we have our dining room and terrace and that's where we serve our light bites menu. And then we have the Gin bar, so we offer an array of different cocktails and spirits but the main drink would be gin-based. So the Wilder, our customers are generally people looking to get away for a romantic weekend, a special occasion, perhaps an anniversary. Our guests don't just come from Europe and North America, would also be Irish customers, even Dubliners, just looking for that special night away.
