I live in NYC, and we just had another boring New York Auto Show. I did not even go there this year, because it is so out of date.

NGL, that shot where the camera rotated around the U9 to reveal it was driving with a wheel missing is probably the first time Ive ever jaw-dropped at any type of advertisement.

Another key point is that U8 actually can float and drive above the water in emergency cases❤

I think​ that shopping​ for​ a new car at the​ 2023 Shanghai Auto Show is like time travel compared to doing the​ same anywhere​ else in the​ world.

One bad news is that if you are not in China and you like YANGWANG U8, you may have to wait for a while because 30000 people have already paid a deposit to buy it at this auto show. And byd has stopped accepting the remaining orders.

I love that the Chinese auto manufacturers aren't afraid to experiment with wild concepts, materials, designs, and features. Unlike American brands that just attempt to make the most generic, bland, non-polarizing design possible, so they can hopefully sell a billion of them.

No matter how western media bash China, but damn they are a league ahead when it comes to design and tech

A little correction: mecanum wheels are not required for Yangwang U9 to do a tank turn. They have already demonstrated that using normal wheels. Mecanum wheels are only used for driving sideways.

The coupe and hopefully more cabrio's. China EV's rule.👍 I strongly dislike that endless stream of boring 4 door sedans and SUV's that comes from the USA and EU. Even and Korea seems to be lagging behind. Those EV's all starting to look the same, like being designed by the same boring designer. And Japan EV's . . . . that is a past story. To late to recover.

Despite all the China haters comments here, the Chinese EV market is really in fierce competition right now, meaning many of those companies and their designs we are seeing right now, won’t survive in the Chinese market, so they will push out to the foreign markets. When you are seeing them in your country, better just stick with the BYD, NIO and GWM.

These Chinese designers and engineers are working wonders. I just think the "China" brand needs to be redeemed and these cars can easily oust existing luxury brands like Mercedes or BMW.

The Chinese are really into tech but i think It's time er should simplify cars.we all have gadgets now cars are filled with more gadgets not good for environment. It's a pleasure to see Chinese streets r filled with Bicycles and Ebikes. America and other places should also follow this. Urbanisation is needed where everything is found within 10 minutes distance
