In our last video we covered the first major battle of the Civil War West of the Mississippi, the Battle of Wilson's Creek. In this episode we examine how Confederate forces went from winning a victory in August of 1861 to being chased across the Missouri-Arkansas border in early 1862, before new leadership decided to launch what has since been known as "The Pea Ridge campaign".
