that one only affects on PC cuz on console everything is muted when pause in Xbox, you wont hear a witch, but on PC everything is really paused, but the music and sound effect is very creepy

Since the Green Flu takes into account the mental state of those affected, I dont think its loss that facilitates the transformation, but depression. People with depression tend to isolate themselves, lash out at help or shrug it off, and obviously crying sometimes comes with. I dunno, I like the thought of continuous pain and suffering turning her into a witch rather than a single instance that decides whether or not shes a normal infected. It makes more sense to me as well.

but if that was the case their would be alot more witches. i think it was more based on a rare mutation within the witches before they become full on witches like they have slight resistances to the green flu witch is why she isolates herself to avoid others and she only attacks that could be the green flue taking over and when she kills someone she looks around and back down to what she has down and runs off crying as shes killed someone else that could be her regaining some of her control back witch is why she crys and runs when ever she kills the person who startled her. so i think witch have partial resistances to the green flu but not full on immunity/carriers like the survivors. its like only of those instances where you become stronger but also loose what makes you you. for the witch it was her mind

@@HavikXIII well i do beleive there are more witches out there but rember they are still consisdered boss infected and theirs only 2 the tank and the witch and if the CDC cart is anything to go by (if she has the same rate as the tank only 3%) and given that the entire eastern sea board has been overrun with infected meaning the number of witches is pretty small now this is if she has the same mutation rate as the tank but i beleive her mutation rate would probley be alot smaller given the huge advance in her mutation increased speed (the fasted of all infected) one shotting do to razor like claws that can cut though metal like butter and increased muscle but decreased muscle mass (as she is also probley the lightest of the infected only 2nd to the jockey) and increased bullet resistanced only outshinded by the tank (i think her hp at expert is 2k while the tank is 4-8k). not only that given her... nature we cant really pin point the exact rate a witch can mutate. then looking at different strands of the mutations the charger and hunter i would call these 2 like lesser strains of the tank and witch strains. the charger is like a faster tank just without the hp and the hunter a more aggressive (and male version of the witch) strain of the witch while not as strong as the witch (as she can one hit doors and survivors) he is more tatical, agile, and claws do alot of dmg more so than non boss infected (as the tank does out dmg him)

When me and my sibling were little we played this game a lot. And because the witch scared us the most we created our own game where one of us were the witch. We would go outside when it was dark and hide need our tree in the yard. One of us would fake cry while the rest of us approached them cautiously. Then, when we got to close the 'witch' would scream and run after one of us. Memories this video brings.

We would play something similar but it’s a Mexican game. Someone would turn towards the wall and knock 3 times, during those times you had to try and get closer to them. If you failed then they’ll start a “demented” version of tag lol good times

I always thought the witch was a victim of sexual assault. The lack of clothing, and what clothing there is being tattered and torn, could be the result of a fierce attack. Rape victims tend to isolate themselves, afraid to be touched, and fall into a depressive state, hence the witch's crying in isolation. In the witch's case with the green flu, the virus helped her by giving her the ability to fight back, something she couldn't do as a normal human. The claws to tear up those who would harm her, the speed and strength to run away or fight as she saw fit. Just a thought though.

For me though. I met her in death toll in the drains just before you must go to right up in the drain before the floodgates. You know after you go down the chamber. Getting tier2 weapon and then you go straight and then you go right and then you go down to the floodgate. Yeah she was there before we can entered the place. I think she's a woman who is self conscious. She starved herself in life and avoided things like sugar. Which could explain the attraction to sugar. The long nails could represent getting your nails done and the platinum blonde hair could be due to bleaching. She could be crying and wailing because while she was infected she became "ugly" Just a theory tho.

I always thought she suffered from a eating disorder and depression they isolated themselves weep but when caught of guard they’d react violently these hold similar reactions to someone suffering with eating orders the isolation and depression (weeping) but upon someone seeing how malnutritioned she is sh reacts aggressively because the witness might interfere with her unhealthy routine but all these emotions and reactions are heightened by the virus? I dunno just a theory I always thought I’m no professional!

I love the witch as an enemy. It’s just so brilliantly designed. When you encounter one, everything stops and the whole team is scared but you gotta get past her somehow. Couple that with the music and it’s an amazingly tense encounter every time

It's technically not an SCP, the playable character is a convict that got the choice of staying in jail or take part of the SCP organisation tests, if he has good behavior and finish the tests, which consists in seeing the reaction of SCP against humans, if they survive through all that they're liberated

It was an achievement to "cr0wn the witch" in the original game. The best strategy wasn't to actually aim for her head, but actually her midsection, so all of the pellets would hit. It was easiest to spam an auto-shotty into her or use the L4D2 chainsaw from behind.

Fun fact : A game by Overkill named "Payday 2" , Missions on hospital and Cook off have references of witch. on Cook Off fence , a hole can be seen with the witch and when you look at her , she will jumpscare you and dissappear. On Hospital , a storage like room (has the witch in in) same as cook off witch , jumpscares and dissappear.

The only way you can beat a witch easily is when fighting her in a open area where you can dodge or run away with ease, and using high powered rifles or automatic shotguns at her. I only ignore her if the space is too tight or out of ammo. Overall a very good target

Me too! The behaviors are different, because she cares about loud noises and lights and all 096 cares about is people seeing his face, but as I watched the video it struck me that their aesthetics are very similar, especially in SCP:CB and SCP:SL. Emaciated figure, pale skin, sitting and crying most of the time (at least in CB), and most of all the way they run when they're chasing someone. The 096 article doesn't give much detail on how it moves, only its appearance and behavior, but I feel like CB and SL probably took a lot of aesthetic inspiration from the Witch.

I think that the best explanation is that the witch was actually severely depressed. It would explain the crying, the low weight, the self destructive tendencies, the light aversion, and the strong attraction to sugar. Speaking from personal experience here lol :;(∩´﹏`∩);:

Damn, I love the idea of the Witch attacking each member of the team. Maybe lower her damage output after the 1st down, then she suddenly sprints towards the next closest victim and starts slashing but doesn't down you. She just takes large chunks of health. Then she suddenly stops the attack and gets another aggravator. Because she's erratic, she may just keep lashing out at different survivors, dealing mass amounts of damage to everyone Instead of instant killing 1 or all.

I always thought the Witches looked like that because they were victims of abuse, starved, beaten, maybe sexually abused due to their clothing, and all they did was cry. I thought they attacked the survivor that triggered them because they thought it was their abuser, and, due to the infection, the anger they felt while seeing said abuser, peaked into murderous intent. With what I thought, it'd make sense that they'd be around the sugar factory, since if they were being starved, they'd try to get food of any kind, including sugary snacks.
