The lower GPU usage comes from using NVIDIA Reflex in combination with Hairworks, it creates some weird bottleneck that nobody can explain. Turning off hairworks or reflex solves it. However you can't use FrameGen without Reflex, so it's either hairworks or framegen for me (on my 4080).

Geez this game is stupidly unoptimized. I can’t believe after all these years it still is this hard to run. I remember in 2015 playing on my GTX 970 and I5-4440 and getting 60 fps at 1080p at high settings. Why is it so demanding?

Recently they released/updated the game to include "next gen" features, which made it more demanding to run.

Like user said ^. This isn't the same game as the 2015 version. Its the next gen update with graphics improvement and ray tracing so its going to be more demanding than the original game

People kinda think to the 4070 ti super is meh but when you look at the bus between the old 192 and new 256 bit your going to get less 1% lows even at close to the same frames which that’s a aspect people skip over. A lot of people just look at avg frames

yeah, its definitely an improvement from the 4070 ti 12gb model. You're right, i think sometimes people are just expecting a huge fps difference

Does frame generator and dlss quality lower graphics look? I needed GPU for playing in 1440p with rt and im affraid that it wont be good enough in 1440p with rt without fg

4080 is a minimum what you need for playing without fg

I'd have been curious to see this test with hairworks turned off as that settings is a huge fps hog and ultimately not that important.

hairworks is a fps hog? Never seen that personally. Doesn't give you much fps if you switch it off

Would be nice if you could include tests without all the non-RT settings on Ultra+ Dropping a lot graphics options to high instead of ultra+ likely wouldve helped FPS majorly without impacting visuals too much We all know at this point that Ultra settings in games hurts FPS more than it impacts visuals

I did have some footage of ultra and high but to be honest there's very little difference in fps between ultra + and ultra and even high. I didn't think it was worth including

@@BenchmarkBoy in comparison with many games, fps loss is huge. That's what I mean. It also has a lot of visual bugs and glitches.

I remember playing wither 3 in 1080p high preset on my 2gb gtx 950, getting solid 45-50 fps. The whole pc costed 3 times less than single 4070ti super. And i actually enjoyed the game. Now in 2024 we get a paywall for old upscaled games to run them barely above 60fps on a high end card for 800$!!!!

I hate when people are showing all settings for 4k all for 1440p and for 1080p is just native without dlls and frame gen whyy

Interesting. I have a normal 4070 and on 1080p with RT on I have about 50-55 FPS so not much less than you have here on Ti Super version. Kinda underwhelming.
